Just bought a basic X1 sDrive. Love it to death, but I have to admit, the standard seats on mine and yours are narrow. But alas, I had to get an option package to then get the sports seats on top of that. Wasn't doing that. The front seats aren't great, but they're not bad. Also two things that irked me but wasn't a deal breaker was no map lights and no light to go with the visor mirror. Not a big deal to me since I'd never use the visor light if I had one, but thought that was a bit too cheap for a BMW. That being said I love my X1. Mine doesn't have a sunroof and other things but the base model suits me fine. I do have heated seats and steering wheel plus Park Assit, otherwise, it just the base model. There is something to be said for simplicity. The more crap you add to a car the more that can go wrong. I'd never use the sunroof, I could car less about a strip of lighting in the footwells. My X1 stickers for 36,500 or so and I paid 29,000 for it. I was very pleased with my deal. Even with the marginal seats. :)

My mom has an appointment to test drive an x1 35i xdrive tomorrow. I’ll be interested to see how it drives if she buys it.

Let me know! I'm curious although tbh I'd probably still recommend the X3 over it. I don't know the price difference though if it's small I'd go for the X3, if not I'd go for the X1. Of course both models I had were in 28i trim but still the main difference will be power they should still drive the same. Is it new? Because early X1 models were RWD that changes everything.

I was around an e90 before. I believe it DOES mean “Manual Shift” and it DOES look a lot like the e90 generation. The color glow is pretty cool, the rims look pretty sweet and with the front wheel drive reminds me of the car my sister used to have. It was also a front wheel drive. With BMW, they always know what they’re doing. And it don’t have the angel eyes like my dream car, the m4 :(

Laurina Zygarde Oh yes the angel eyes are the best! I meant on the e90 it says D/S. I do like that glow it’s just a nice little touch. BMW always does a pretty good job they’re definitely my favorite.

BMW-E90-HQ my aunt got me started on BMW with HER X series, which happens to be an early 2000’s X5. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the angel eyes either. But D/S....hmmmm.....don’t remember seeing that on Princess. She was an automatic with manual mode (where you tap the shifter to the left to put it in manual mode.)

The 2 series replaces it in 2014 I believe so 2013 is the newest model year available.

I thought all x1s were mostly xdrives not rwds
@BMWE90HQ6 жыл бұрын
First generation x1s can be RWD or AWD after that they can be either FWD "sDrive" or AWD "xDrive" This car is based on the Mini platform so unlike all other BMWs it is FWD based as opposed to RWD

Good review. But I disagree that driving x1 feels better than driving an Acura, say, TLX or MDX. Imho, Acura has better handling around curves and is more quiet on freeway.

Soj. H You may be right. I was referring to the feeling of being in a BMW vs a Honda. I’ve never driven any Acura branded car tbh.

BMW-E90-HQ, I had both before. BMWs do look much better. That alone can make the driver feel good.
