Walk Around and Overview: 2025 BMW M4 Competition! (The NEW LCI M4!)

In today’s video, we’re doing a walk around and overview with the new 2025 BMW M4 Competition xDrive! This BMW M4 is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Black Merino Leather interior. It is shown wearing black 826M wheels. The M4 Competition features BMW’s S58 3.0L inline 6 engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels via M xDrive. The M4 Comp xDrive now produces 20 more horsepower, for a total of 523 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. This is enough to propel the M4 Competition xDrive to 60mph in a quoted time of just 3.4 seconds.

Can you show the lighting more? The biggest change for the LCI are the headlights and taillights but no one shows what they look like in depth. I.e. turn signals, start up animation, sleep animation, lock and unlock, etc.

Thanks for the review. I just can’t say the headlights look more modern. They can always simply update the halos and put them on every m3, not just as an option. I am glad I got my g80 but I can’t say I’ll be ready to trade in not having halos. Seems like a small gripe but some folks grew up dreaming about bmws and the hallmark is the halos. Personally, I think the new headlights make the car more easily mistaken for another brand. I really wanted to buy the last available m3 in manual but with those headlights, it may have me sticking with what I have.

Currently I have BMW X4 M40i since 2021, I have in mind to get either M4 competition or M850i depending on the least deals. If you also have a preowned one, that’d be fine too (depending on color and miles)

My worried is about the turbo in long term. Not being a rich guy able to change the car every two years I'm evaluating to get one of these and owned for at least 10 years. Nowadays high performance means to push a small engine to its limit with one or two turbos. I'm wondering what is the lifespan expectation with this stress technique. Instead of the old school and long last V8. This simple fact is making me to hesitate to purchase this or a V8 (almost in phase out in the market). Any advise? or experience to share?

Really informative! I have a 2021 M4 competition non x drive and am looking at the xdrive lci equivalent. How did bmw get the additional 20hp? Is it just a turbo pressure increase?

Here in the UK even the ultimate pack doesn’t include them on the LCI, which it did on the pre LCI. That alone is over £4000 on top of the ultimate pack. To get the ultimate pack with the Carbon Seats we are looking at over £100,000. So they’ve removed the front Laser lights, added rear laser lights, new steering wheel and a slight bump in bhp, with a massive price increase. I would go with the pre LCI.

Bro good to see you! Was wondering what happened to these vids! I have a '24 M4 and its cool to see the subtle changes to the badging which hasn't been covered before. Happy with my laser lights tho, the new steering wheel is sweet, espec with the Alcantara option. Do you really need to spec the carbon package to get the CFRP roof now? I thought that was standard and you could 0 cost option a metal one w/ sunroof, or at least it was when I spec'd my car I'm wondering, did they change that?

Carbon roof is still standard, not sure why he mentioned it. The pack offers carbon ceramics, sport seats, and the basic carbon exterior mods + the track pack or w/e it is (you can also just option all these individually as well).

You too, good to be back! No, you do not need to get the carbon package to get the carbon roof, watching back I did phrase that a bit confusingly. You can still chose between moonroof and carbon roof independently of the carbon package. Although at least in the US, there is no option for a metal roof with no moonroof. It's either carbon roof or moonroof.
