Even if they don't get married they should have some documents in place to ensure either of them will have a say if something tragic happens to either of them. If they don't do that then medical and financial access and decisions default to the closest adult relative or the government itself.

I wish that Tegan’s mum could have given him a hug when he found out he couldn’t compete in the south championships that year. It’s all very well raising a lad to be strong and deal with life’s disappointments but all kids need empathy, hugs and tenderness too. I’m not saying his mum is a bad mum, I’m just saying, she experienced disappointment as a child, she knows the pain, he just needed a hug, that’s all. I’ll be rooting for you in the 2028 Olympics Tegan! Keep up the good work. ❤

Seriously though. When I had my hip replacement surgery it was after my spinal injury and I had to lay on my back with a huge brace around my ribs,hips, waist, and in between my legs for 6 weeks. It was so painful.

Life sends down curved balls all the time. It's the measure of your character about how you deal with it. My daughter danced classical ballet since the age of five. It age 13, she was the youngest ballerina to be in the Australian Ballet. They have a special high school where she excelled. When she was 20, they toured the USA. In New York, she fell in rehearsal and broke her back. It was over. 16 years of dedication came to an end. She recovered but would never dance again. She went to uni and now she lives in London and is a successful lawyer specialising in human rights. She spends every third week at the ICC in the Hague, and is part of the Prosecutors team working on the case against Israel for war crimes. So when one door closes, another opens and you must go through it.

Love Teigan and his mom. That brave kid was enduring a fractured hip and didn't shed a tear until he was told he couldn't ride for a while. His mom raised a wonderful young man. I love the Olympics. I never miss them. I look forward to seeing Teigan there in the future.

Lee should paint his casts green and play the hulk for his boys 😊😊😊. My daughter had scoliosis surgery. She spent a week in the hospital and then recovered at home. 19” rod and 25 screws. She was riding her horse 4 months later. Not fast just walking around.

I love Laura and Lee, but she says over and over again “Lee is an amazing dad. Me and the kids appreciate him so much”. Which I love and think is wonderful. However with how many times she says it, yet they still live apart after all this time…there is another story that is not being told. If they had wanted to be married then even a quick trip to the courthouse would have worked, or even just a small intimate ceremony. But they are not married. They are not living together. Not sure if they are currently together. That’s a hard situation and until they figure it out, probably better for it to remain as is, especially for the kids.

My boyfriend of nine years used to compete in BMX when he was younger. He's an aggressive competitor and won quite a few prizes locally, always came first or second. Even competed abroad a couple of times, but didn't win. He misses the riding from time to time, but have no time, money or the physical demands needed to be able to do it anymore. His best prize was an expensive bike he later sold cheap to his best friend that didn't have any, only for them to be able to ride together. Now he's leveled up to motor cross instead 😂 We used to ride together, until I crashed head first and broke my bike... Sprained my neck and was quite bruised. Yes, I was dressed for the ride and not for the slide.

I broke my pelvis in 2 places aged 35. I was back to normal sporting activity in 6 weeks. NHS is the most wonderful institution. But it's following an american model.

With Teagan’s mom and her scoliosis, I was wondering if they do checks for it in the schools or kids wellness checks? My son has been checked every year since he started school. I know they have done them at school, but our family dr does a much better job so I go off his recommendations for it. So just wondered if it was part of the regular checks in any way?

I was given guinea pigs when I was 10yo even though I wanted a rabbit and it was by demonstrating how well I could love & care for them all by myself that I eventually was allowed rabbits as well. My mum said if I didn't look after them, they would be given away, so it was a very good life lesson! 😄😄
