I am very impressed about the originallity of your restoration and the eye for detail. That made me wonder : After my 1954 BN1 was painted I had a discussion about the dash vent and the Escutcheon fitted onto it (the loose items on the top of the demister outlets.) As I was told they were not original until the BN4. But after painting, not fitting them would have meant repaint the dashtop, because of the 4 small holes. I was wondering if I was mis informed or on a very early BN1 like yours they were used. Keep up the video's, amazing to watch.

The demister escutcheons on 100's were painted with the body, later 6 cyl. Healeys had them painted to match the vinyl dash top panels they were installed to.

Hi Geoff, beautiful as always. Is you Austin of England badge original or a replacement? I have been struggling to find one that has the stippling on the background. The replacements I have seen are too flat and don't have a nice stipple.

Thanks, and yes, that is my original badge - even original chrome on it that polished up beautifully.
