Void Thunder set requires both 1 skill use and a heavy attack to gain 2 stacks, 14:42, so maybe rotation can be done a bit faster by pre filling the forte on calcharo and when we swap to him we just do echo > one skill then mercy for all 3 of those buffs at timestamp (this is two skill time reduced)

Echo takes too long so you do it in your prep rotation and you get the second stack from starting with mercy which is his heavy attack than ulting

A tip: Do NOT get multiple 5* weapons of the same category. Eg. getting both the Standard 5* Broadsword and Jiyans 5* Broadsword because if you clear one side of ToA with Jiyan and you start the other side with Calcharo, you can just take the weapon from Jiyan and use it on Calcharo! Same with every other weapon of characters you are "finished" using in ToA.

17:08 I think this part need clarification When a weapon says "increase liberation damage" does it increase Calcharo's Modified Basic Attack (After ResoLiberation)? As far as I know, Liberation damage is the initial damage dealt when a player press that ult button (Not the DM, not the Modifed Basic Attack). The Modified Basic Attack, iirc, is considered as basic attack, which means, I think the chart is wrong, as supposedly large portion of it should belong to basic attack which comes from the Modified Basic Attack after the ResoLiberation. This also means, Liberation damage modifier does not affect the Modified Basic Attack. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Heya, good question! So you're correct that his Hound's Roar (the basic attack in his ult) is considered a basic attack and is NOT affected by Liberation Damage Boost. However, the majority of his damage comes from his Death Messenger (enhanced heavy during ult) and that IS ALSO considered liberation damage, hence why the majority of his dmg comes from his ult.

Something I've noticed, maybe I'm just doing something wrong, is that if you use your resonance skill while using your resonance liberation, it will indeed cancel out your auto attacks

About substat priority, I read from pydwen/wuthering lab that in a pie chart about damage percent, liberation dmg account for morr than 50%.does that make the Liberation dmg substat better than atk%, atkflat , CD or CR. I need a ranking to decide weather I should remake my echos

Heya good question - so yes, liberation dmg does account for 50-60% of your overall, but even then attack % will definitely scale harder, and flat attack should be slightly higher in scaling. For a similar reason, crit rate and dmg should both be better stat option than liberation damage in an ideal build. You may occasionally find times where taking flat attack or liberation damage % will increase your dmg output, but it'll likely be because your other stats are quite where you want them to be yet!

Outro skill (and next character's intro skill) only activate when swapping with concerto gauge (the circle one at the left of hp bar) full. And yes, when you swap you often lose the outro buff from last character. So swapping during calcharo's ult only recommended your 2nd character is also a carry, like Rover or Encore. Normally, swapping between Calcharo's ult and Yinlin does not worth it.

It unfortunately does NOT double benefit - it doesn't count as heavy attack damage. You're correct in identifying that thundering mephis is a stronger buff than tempest, most people choose tempest because of the significantly shorter animation, since the buff is applied at the end.

Heya, sorry if this didn't come through in the video. I think even if you're not playing him "perfectly," he performs well and will be able to clear everything in the game for you just fine. Even if you're try-harding and applying all the tech in the world, the truth is that many times, you'll be unable to get the 3rd DM off because you have to dodge, move, etc. So even if you just ult, spam basic attack with no tech, and only get off 2 DM's, his damage output is still good imo. Again, sorry if that message didn't come through, I think I just got excited while talking about his tech - I hope you continue to play him!

​@@bNaturalGaming Yeah, I got him early, played him a bit, kept dying, stopped playing him, but you need 3 teams late game. Or at least that's what I keep hearing. So far, I have a Jiyan/Spectro Rover/Verina for team 1, Chixia/Taoqi(c6)/Jianxin for my team 2, then I have a C2 Calcharo Who would be the, "on paper", good carry for my team 3. If I can get a Mortefi then he can replace Rover in team 1, and I can build my Yuanwu, making my team 3 Calcharo/Yuanwu/Rover(Spectro). Now if I can also pull Yinlin, then I'd probably go for her over Yuanwu. It's funny, all team builds for each character say, "Use Verina"...but you only get one of her.

i just bought the bp, i main calcharo should i continue try to pull lustrous or just take the bp weapon(im 52 pulls into standard weapon banner, lvl 35 and got 17 pulls in my inv)? and is the weapon banner always a selector or only for the first time?

Weapon banner is always a selector - I'm personally planning to take the Emerald of Genesis (Sword) and Static Mist (Pistol), but lustrous razor isn't bad. I'd say if you plan to continue buying the BP and are going to rank up your Autumntrace, to just stick with the BP weapon. If you want to get a BP weapon for another weapon type, then Lustrous Razor isn't a bad pick - just know that It's value is mostly in Calcharo, as most characters probably won't get as much value from the effect.

who would you recomend for my 3rd slot? im using calcharo + jianxin, i have all characters except yinlin. i ask because im already using verina and baizhi on encore's and jiyan's teams im all ears for any mix and match teams you guys might sugest! (encore + sanhua + verina / jiyan + mortefi + baizhi / calcharo + jianixn + ?)

That's a tough one for the third team. My best suggestion would be to give Verina to Calcharo, since he eats a lot of damage from needing to tank hits occasionally, and give spectro rover to the Encore team, since her dps is increased whenever she dodge-basic attack combo's. You can give him a rejuv set which he can proc the 5pc buff of thanks to his S4. If you don't want to swap verina, you could also run spectro rover similarly on the Calcharo+Jianxin team. Alternatively, you could run orignite weapon + rejuv set on jianxin and run someone like Yangyang as the sub dps to help him generate his energy faster, which would make his team cycle something like Calcharo burst>Yangyang outro>Calcharo>Jianxin>Calcharo burst. Not sure what the best option would be, but let me know what you decide!

Mephis only buffs user unfortunately - if you run Heron a Yinlin, it'll buff next character though!

All 3 perform similarly tbh - personally I prefer the 2+2 setup, but all 3 perform similarly so go with whatever you find that has the best stats

In terms of main DPS dmg output, Yinlin won't do as much as Calcharo or Encore, unless you have her at S6 I believe - maybe could at around s3-4, but I don't have personal experience with it, so I won't comment on her as a main dps. Between Calcharo and Encore, Calcharo can do more if everything goes right, but Encore is more likely to do more on average because she's easier to be consistent with.

If you mean going Yinlin outro into Clacharo then back to Yinlin or the other teamate then your buff is gone yes

Agreed! It's perfectly playable without squeezing out 3 every time. I go for 3 if the boss just got downed or something, but other than that, I focus on not getting hit - everything one shots me at higher levels T_T

Her damage output is still good when built. I'd say if you don't want to invest too heavily into her for echoes, run moonlit, but I believe a Yinlin with good stat rolls does more dmg for your team running Void Thunder

No, it comes down to a preference, thundering has long animation but it also does enormous damage and generates massive energy

Yes, you need to hit all of thundering if you want that buff but tempest gives a solid buff with a fast 2 hit animation. Thundering is better in terms of buff but the problem is its slow and you need to hit all attacks for the buff, Tempest on the other hand gives a solid buff and a 2 hit attack

It's up to your preference, but since you can't use the Phantom version for the buff on first hit, you'll need to wait for the last hit for the buff. That being said, it does offer a lot of energy and does great damage.
