One thing to note about the gun is that it's very hard to be powercrept for Mortefy as it might as well be his signature. The weapon has a blend of everything he wants, so you'll be hard pressed to find a future weapon as synergistic with his kit.

He needs to get his energy so of course stack some ER on him but his forte and liberation are big sources of damage that can be pretty big if build as a proper sub dps. People use his ult like xinqiu or fischel in genshin, mortify deals damage alongside the current on field character

In case you weren't aware, you can swap the selected weapon at any time, without losing your pity. So if you want the gun, you can set the banner to gun. And then you hit 45, get it from the box, and swap the banner over to the sword. Anyway, I got guantlets for Jianxin first off, as she really likes the high attack, which is further amplified by the atk%. Those base attack values are one thing to really keep in mind in WuWa... there's a big gap between four and five star weapons and that, coupled with being able to get crit stats from any echo, plus many characters having crit as an option in their fortre tree, means crit on a weapon isn't as big of a deal here as it is in, say, Genshin, and you likely won't want to downgrade to a four star weapon just because that weapon has a crit stat. Anyway, then I got the rectifier for Encore/Verina. Currently working toward the pistols. After that, well, haven't decided which sword to go for first.

Yeah I swapped the selected weapon probably 5 times in the video to show how it worked. And I completely agree that attack is very valuable in this game compared to others. - But with 5 different weapon types and only 1 UL45 box + unlikely people will pull all 4 other weapon types by now. I thought it might be valuable to show people some 4 star options so they can make an educated decision for themselves as to what 5 star options they wanted to go for

The Sword and Akimbo Guns are probably the best choices overall due to their Crit Rate substat making it easier to build around, but even more so when you are planning on maining/play with units that are of those weapon type. I'm personally planning on getting a couple of copies of the Sword since I want to keep using Rover, Sanhua and Verina as the 1st of the 3 teams I need to build.

with havoc rover s2, which you get free, you can E, Forte, E instanctly and fully stack the sword immedietly so it synergizes pretty perfectly for her, even if its designed to be very easily powercrept

It’s not the playstyle, but that they just don’t perform as well in ToA. Chixia is great at hologram, but not in ToA because of mobs. Alto is fun to play, but there’s no DPS that can really utilize him atm. Mortefi is Jiyan’s best in slot.

in 1.2 i bet that one of the 2 characters has to be a gunner and a fighter(gauntlets). i pulled for yinlin weapon b/c is massive for yinlin and plan to share it with encore for now( encore with that weapon will do a beautiful destruction😊) but i would say choose the 5 star weapon that work for several good characters that you have. 8:20 "augment" is a great weapon but yinlin has to leave the field quickly after the liberation and swap to calcharo. ENCORE is another story, her liberation is when she goes crazy in attacks so the weapon ability goes great.

i'd like to add some points to this: honestly in my opinion the Autumntrace is a very VERY close second BIS for Calcharo, if not the best. reason being other than the Crit Rate substat, the passive gives up to +20% ATK which has pretty much 100% uptime. that paired with the 20.25% Crit Rate is again, in my opinion, a lot better than +36.45% ATK and +21% Liberation DMG from Lustrous Razor. my point comes from me dealing 10k dmg (crit) solely from the burst dmg against the lv55 ape boss (without buffs from whatever food and whichever character) from Calcharo's Liberation. i am at UL39 atm, my Calcharo and Autumntrace is at lv60, his stat is 1307 ATK, 69.8% Crit Rate and 181.2% Crit DMG (+70% Electro DMG from echoes & set). now thats a lot of dmg (pun intended) when every echoes i'm using have 2-3 shit substats as of writing this.

3:25 Situation 1: build up outro as Mortefi, outro to main, go back to Mortefi asap build up outro again, expect 20% dmg increase, demand account rollback or refund etc., with enough energy regen you might be able to squeeze in 4 outros withing those 14s, giving a slightly better dmg buff than Verina, that would be silly Situation 2: get 2 of this gun for 2 separate gun users, have them buff a 3rd character, again it doesnt work unlike characters, you can have 2 of the same weapon on 1 team so it makes sense to put a disclaimer about the buff, though imo introducing a game wide mechanic like "unique buffs" to clear up confusions would be better.

in a pretty simpler way, just by calculating theorical dps (just considering base crit. chance of all charaters which is 5% and no other bonus than raw stats of weapons at lvl90) both crit rate weapons have a slightly better dps (around 20 more attack than other weapon), so overall, depend on the build really and the bonus provided by weapon/the character using it. these weapons are also the only 5 stars non-limited weapon we have, they will always be beter than any 4 stars weapon we may obtain, yet slighty worse than limited 5 stars weapons (specially with their intended character)

Im guessing the pistol buff "stacking up to 1 time(s)" is probably because the buff won't stack from multiple wielders. Imagine you have mortefi and aalto buffing Jiyan both using the pistol. Id jiyan is already buffed by aalto then switching mortefi to jiyan won't trigger stack the buff.

this is my thinking as well. get one of each that has crit rate and i think we will be good of this early game contents. i got the bp rectifier first because i main encore, and i dont have calc or jiyan so i can get the broadsword later. i also got yinlin, so as yinlin and encore will not sit on the same team so they can share the rectifier when im clearing the tower of adversity. and also, i have mortefi s5 but the thing is i also use danjin (s5) and havoc rover as my main damage dealer which makes think twice weather to geet two crit rate swords just for them both or pick the static mist for mortefi.

1H sword is the best choice imo as it can be used by Havok Rover and Danjin, both are excellent dps. It's also a slight downgrade from the new 1h limited sword that will be released with Changli. It will also be Changli's second BiS 2H are a close second which are good for Jiyan, Calcharo, and Jinshi, the three best mdps units. It's not BiS for any of them, but it's still a considerable element. With the fact that the three best mdps need massive uptime, it's worth investing in. The focus thingy is probably the next best as it is again not a BiS for any but good with Encore that with Changli upcoming is going to be even more potent, and that it is good for Yinlin who despite being a sub-dps should be built like an mdps. It's not good at all for Verina though. The next is the pistol. Although the standard 5 star weapons for the gauntlet and pistol are actually BiS due to there being no limited variants and that there's not any announced it seems like they are a good use for your selector... but the fact is, if your able to get the limited weapons the pistol is funnily enough the best option, specifically for Mortefi. If you're f2p you will need to use the selector for the three above for the best value. mPDS should be prioritized above all and if you cant get the limited options for your mDPS you need to use this on them. -It's rather ironic that the best option for those who can get the limited options is the pistol specifically for mortefi. -I'd personally call it a waste to be used on anything other than 1h sword, 2h sword, or the focus if you have yinlin/encore, unless you have all the limited options for the respective characters. Even though it's BiS for the respective users of gauntlets and pistols as there's no alternatives, your highest value is that of your main, but the sword is incredibly valuable for many reasons. If you wanna be different and main Chixia, Linyang, Jianxin or whoever, go for their BiS. Priority list: FtP: 1h sword for Havok Rover, Danjin, and (Changli if you have a five star and encore). Calcharo/Jiyan: 2h sword. Encore (main): focus. Whales: pistol (you have limited's the only selector BiS is mortefi, and gauntlet users, but gauntlet users are mid). Chixia/Lingyang/Jianxin mains: respective BiS. Casuals: doesn't matter My recommendation is sword. Being real you can do everything without meta comps, but for the tower you will need three teams and ftp especially will want to be clearing it for those pulls. So you'll want to run havok rover+Danjin as it's a given team for free so you can focus on spending on the other two. The sword is so versatile, it's such a good shout. Light spenders to whales who arn't r5ing every limited for every character that can use them, go sword for havok and danjin, there's just no point rolling Changli's weapon for them unless they are you mains.

The reason why it's written "Stacking up to 1 time(s)" (3:24) is to consider 2 or more characters with the same weapon. If you use this effect twice or thrice, the effect will only refresh the 14s timer, which is harder to write than just "stack 1 time". Nice video btw

I got super lucky and got the cosmic ripples out of one ten pull, and I’ve been using it on my Encore. I’ll be picking the sword from the box when I hit level 45, then wishing for the gun with any free pulls I get. I don’t have a gun character right now that I want to use but I don’t doubt that eventually one will drop or I’ll summon them and it’ll be nice to have that weapon. The Augment is better than the 5 star one right ? I think It raise like 50% basic atk on R5 (compared to 5 Star R1, around 15% ) not to mention the Crit Rate substat

on the current character pool no. for yinlin the damage is just slightly different between augment r5 vs Cosmic r1 and cosmic is still higher, on encore cosmic ripple is way better because of the passive, which increase basic damage attack and encore liberation attack string counted as basic attack. and also ER in this game seems more valuable than CR but it'll prob be good for future character, is just the current pool rectifier character have weapon that are somewhat catered to them edit: also consider the base attack, cosmic ripple and stringmaster at max level will give you 500 base atk vs 412 on augment

gun and sword are the best choices, sword will be used by many good f2p characters (sanhua, yangyang, especially Rover) so it's the best for the F2P players like me.

I prefer to build my main dps harder than anything first. If I have YinLin as main then I'd rather take that weapon first. Which I have and Calcharo before her. The weapon box after that will be my third main dps. Or actually 4th. Because I already have swords for Rover who will have to surrender them later to Changli as she retires.

The misspelling people do here, rectyfier, mortefy, Stingmaster, why not just call it thongmaster :). Anyway the swords are solid too, they have crit as well. If you plan to go for changli I would go for that. I would save the box a little until you know who you want it for. I personally prefer to build main dps first. Also, Changli looks pretty damn fun tbh!

Genesis sword for changli cause I'm a little underwhelmed by the secondary stat that is atk %. Will make it harder to balance out the crit stats with her signature weapon so Genesis it is. I think the Genesis sword is way better than changli's weapon tbh honest. U might get a ton of DMG increase with the weapon but it lacks crit and ER that Genesis provides

The stats are fairly simple in this game . As long as you know the basic structure it’ll be okay to do your pew pew. Basically attack only won’t get you the best , crit rate only won’t win for you or crit damage only won’t be great. Basically just get a good attack with decent crit % + rating through your echoes and you’ll be set. I believe in you ^_^. People learn through mistakes and it’s all a learned process gl hf
