Turns out, it's not that he was clean with it. What I mean by that is that it's a string. Strings are basically not true combos, but if you catch the enemy not throwing out an attack for a few frames or they throw out a laggy one, the string will work. Such is the case for Db1 into anything that's not DB2 So, one could say that he uses strings quite efficiently and at the right times

As Marth makes up with range and speed, Sora has the upper hand with his Magic arsenal to attack from a distance and disrupt any flanks from Marth. Really good match.

Yea that was pretty creative, who does that? It looks like he drop down the platform and buffered a netural B that was slightly angle up and it broke the shield. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

@@WhoIsRah Marth and Lucian neutral B does insane shield damage. Pretty much all you have to do is hit the shield maybe once or twice and then follow it up with a quick neutral b and it breaks the shield. Easier said then done though especially against someone with good defense and someone who’s familiar with the match up

This Ignaize Marth plays so clean and elegantly refined. Lucina is easier to use, but if you play precisely like this something crazy happens and you get this arguably better style of spacing with precise crits at top level. The tippers are so satisfying and more damaging, and your spacing is better meaning you find your in better positions against the opponent.

I can tell his marth is pretty optimized with the exception of platform tech chases and some offstage scenarios. full-hop side b or B reverse side be covers everything on the platform and you get more from it in that regard. Also because marth can’t cover under himself consistently, neutral b slides and side b do a very good job of helping marth with positioning. But it’s often better just to utilize ledge-trapping more anyway.

A optimized Marth is better than Lucina any day. Sure they play the same but the damage output from Marth when he hits his tippers is insane.

mainly knockback, damage is mostly the same, though tippers do add up, and sour spots help more easily chain into combos/strings than lucina's consistent knockback, and they do play a little differently at the min/max stage because of that, though they do play similarly mostly, you are right, but the knockback difference is pretty huge, lucina is never going to get a dancing blade side kill at the %s Marth does like 50% even if the damage is similar

So basically, at 21:04, he didn't fall out of the dancing blade. Due to it being a non-stumble attack, you cant di out of it. What happened was that sora got hit by the attack, which made him flinch back, and avoid the next hit Also, at 23:14, thundaga has less range in the air. Or better said, the bolts have less space in between them, making for less range. That's why it didn't reach the stage

@@d3flash453 I've played Marth for years and I have him over 10M GSP so... I'm not a pro but I'm no slouch either. CONSTANTLY opponents live to 200+% because you just can't land that last killing tipper. It's FRUSTRATING sometimes and makes you wonder why you aren't just playing Lucina. He racks up damage fine but when it comes to making that kill he's VERY VERY inconsistent. I mean... just about every pro that has said anything about Marth says he's inconsistent as well so... you must be better than MKLeo if you're tippering all the time and have no problem with killing.
