Magnus took my call when I was about to retire and gave me the same advise. If you can take your money out of the Pension fund, do, pay your tax thats due, take a third offshore, and because of your age 64 now with kids and grandkids here and no intention of leaving at this stage, buy a property that can give you residual income and invest the rest conservitaly as you can in something that will beat inflation. Well I did that, I bought the house next door to mine, run it as a Holiday rental and put a chunk in RSA retail bonds at 11.5% return and the rest gives me 7.2% in the bank on immediate call. I'm a happy chappie and better off than I was getting from my Penion fund. The downside is is who the hell do you trust with youir money offshore? Remember, b rokers never loose only yiou can loose, so 1.2% in a protected offshore account will do for me as I age BUT if I need to as I get older and the rand depreciates, I can always bring bits of it back to keep me going, my property value is growing and bond rates beat inflation. After the Herman Pretorius saga, I will never walk into a broker shop again because my trust level was taken away and you as the investor are the only loosers. You can do it yourself these days without paying all the fees that go with it with just a bit of guts and insight research and listerning to smart people. Thanks Herman

My deceased Grandparents came to me in a dream (in 1997) and told me, "Stay on the side of the HOUSES!! Do NOT cross over!!" And that was in 1997 when I had nothing!! When I got my settlement, I put it all into residential housing, 3 small ones, and I'm not rich, but I'm surviving. I also had a deceased elderly lady come to me and shove the old South African flag in my face (in 2000), insisting it was my flag. I knew she was long since passed on, I thought she had forgotten, and tried explaining to her that it was the Anc flag. And she persisted in shoving the old SA flag/Boer flag in my face. And I still remember her exact words which were, "You will see, you are wrong, and that I am right! This IS YOUR FLAG! Just look, look at this flag, this is your flag!" I did not yet know about Siener van Rensburg at the time of this dream, as that was before I had gotten onto the internet, but now, I do. It gives me hope because these types of dreams have happened often in my life. And when a deceased person has spoken in my dreams they have never been wrong. I am 62 this year.

This morning i tried finding a report for my preservation funds showing the returns of these funds. Nowhere could i find anything on my fund managers website showing me the returns. The reason may be an oversight on the part of the fund manager, but my suspicion is the results would not make for very happy clients.

I mean the Nasdaq has the world's major companies that are common almost in every country, hell I am typing this comment in one of the companies in the Nasdaq. The Nasdaq also comprises of companies that mainly grow on speculation (to be brutally honest (e.g Telsa)) while the JSE has a looootttt of undervalued companies which remain undervalued for god knows why.

A lot of sceptics are proving to here in SA just to loot n skip the country they not here to build. They have gone n came back. Those who are oversees now are facing layoff n liqidations. What they are not seeing is the global reset/ dedolirisation ending petro/dollar economy. A level playing field and multipolar world is underway. BRICS have decoupled from the dollar. A new digital tokenised AI economy is created. Current economy has failed n created un redeemable debt. A reset to AI is solution for now n future. It is therefore risky to leave the BRICS economies because the superpowers economies are being levelled n adjusted. Primary mineral producing countries will get to see a true value of their resources.

Do you know why you should keep your money in SA? It's because while all the Central Bank Mafia had effectively imposed either 0% interest rates or negative interest rates around the world, Lesetja Kganyago and crew kept our own rates well above those found abroad and effectively saved us more agony than what was being prescribed for us by Development Banks and the BIS. You have the internet. Use it.

@AnneliedeWet
@AnneliedeWet Жыл бұрын
He is stuck. I commented up the top: I don't understand Magnus' take on the crumbling west's profitability. He cites a job in Germany as example: IMF: "Germany, the continent's industrial powerhouse, will see growth of just 0.1% [2023] --- a timid performance but a considerable increase from the -0.3% estimated in October". German industries are closing down as if there is no tomorrow. On top of it, in the R500 000 (5 year) bet between Magnus (offshore) and Piet Viljoen ( local investment) --- Piet Viljoen is winning so far. Maybe they both lose in the end, but there is no real evidence to predict that Magnus is going to turn the tide dramatically with his R500 000. No use looking at old statistics and calling on history, as he often does. Everything is changing rapidly. India is becoming a top world economy, and for Russia, the IMF forecasts a growth rate of 2.9% in 2023 and 3.1% in 2024. That is considerably HIGHER than Germany! Is Magnus too conventional to start looking at this? China is also somewhere in the mix. Check out the R500 000 bet between Piet Viljoen and Magnus: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXPEcouBod-aZrc kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3yndXajltxkj6s

During a recession there is a huge wealth transfer to gold and silver. Might want to look into building up gold and silver just to store the value of your money. After the smoke settle before the wealth transfer move back to stocks and bonds cash out on a lot of the gold and silver. If u time it correct u can still buy cheap stocks before most wealth is back into stocks. Alternatively u don't need to be a Scottish citizen to own properly in Scotland. Buy some land there and sell it again after the recession. As a investor keep as little money in your bank account. And large part of your money in Gold, silver, efts and if u want property I would not buy now in RSA
