Look like SD 70 ACEs. 4400 hp each train consist 128 cars average weight. 140 total of just under 18000 tons Heavy even with 8 locos

That's awesome!! I'm train engineer in Czech republic, I can't imagine how cool must be drive so heavy train. My heaviest train had only 2 800 tons.. Compare with this coal train it was like a kiddie train 😂

128 cars I counted x 40t each (that‘s a guess) = 5120t = ~2,5km length (estimated 20m / car ex locos). Doesn’t sound enough to me. Does anyone know more?

Coal train was 129 cars and manifest is around 89 cars.

Those lead units are GE I think are ACE 44’s the MRL are also Ge as is back pushing unit.
