BNSF Railway & Amtrak Trains around Cameron, IL - March 30, 2024

In Northwest Illinois, there is a railroad town known for several BNSF lines coming together that make one big railroading hub for the Midwest. This town is known as Galesburg. While there are many great railfanning locations around Galesburg, one of the best is the small village of Cameron about 11 miles to the west of Galesburg. Here BNSF's Ottumwa Subdivision from Galesburg into Iowa and BNSF's Chillicothe Subdivision, part of their Southern Transcon from Chicago to Los Angeles pass through town. In this video, we will see a selection of BNSF & Amtrak trains in town and at the infamous Cameron Connector just east of Cameron.
