Let’s be clear here. She only made a statement after asking the GBI about the reward money. She only did this for the reward money and to help her boyfriend get off for actually killing Tara. Not out of any sense of doing what’s right. Don’t be fooled by her intentions.
@Ranillon
@Ranillon 4 жыл бұрын
@@eatmyoctopus So? The whole point of a reward is to encourage people to come forward with information. Now that it worked the woman is to be condemned? Remember, if you weren’t involved in a crime that you otherwise know about you are legally NOT REQUIRED to inform the authorities, in no small part because it could be dangerous. After all, Duke #2 if he had found out or even her boyfriend could have put her life in jeopardy. And at least the right thing was done in the end.
@othertalk3313
@othertalk3313 4 жыл бұрын
@@Ranillon The point of a reward is to provide motivation for people who lack the empathy to come forward for free. It becomes a practical matter - a business arrangement - instead of just doing something because it's the right thing to do. She wasn't too scared to drive out to the orchard alone with this guy and she stuck around for weeks after.

Julie Greene - So very sorry for this enormous loss you guys have endured. Please know that people all over the country and all over the world have been deeply impacted by Tara’s story. Her friends and family have done an incredible job over the years illustrating all of the amazing qualities that Tara possessed and all of the love that she consciously tried to put into her students and the world. I know it isn’t worth much, but please know that you have all the love and prayers that we can muster for you all coming from us here in Chicago. ❤️ RIP Tara Grinstead.

Julie Greene so sorry for your loss. Such a tragic ending to such a sweet person. I don't believe Bo. After the New Years Day rapes, it makes a lot more sense that on the day after Tara disappeared he realized Ryan didn't remember anything from the night before and he took advantage of that. Began his story for an alibi from there. You don't burn a body unless you're afraid of DNA and also a psychopath.

Defense is trying to build the case that there was mental trauma from being in the armed forces, for Bo Dukes. In reality, he just helped his old buddy from childhood who was also a fellow soldier. The bond was strong. But he hid a murder, and in sentencing Bo got 25 yrs on all 4 counts. Seems a very long sentence, so justice was served. His girlfriend did the right thing. It may not have been immediate, but the mind needs time to process things, and also she could have felt in danger from Ryan or Bo, herself. What boggles the mind though, is why she would continue to date him after he was indicted. That is not a sign of good mental health.

I'm watching Ryan Duke's trial right now and I have to disagree. I don't think Ryan killed her. He helped dispose of/burn the body, but Bo killed her! Unbelievable that Bo got away with murder because of his connections and someone else is probably going to take the fall for it.

Yep after watching Ryan Duke testify, I completely agree. Bo 100% did it. Now I just wonder whether Bo had actually told his girlfriend/this lady the real truth, instead of the fake story. And that she went along with Bo’s blame Ryan story to keep her BF out of trouble.

Dear Lord, what makes a woman so desperate to have just any man that she will take a scenic tour of where he helped dispose of and burn a lovely woman's dead body that he had for a teacher in high school? Then she waits 2 weeks to let the authorities know????!!!! Brooke's mother must be horrified that she raised a daughter who has no scruples, ethics, pride, or character. And Brooke still considers Bo her boyfriend!!!! How screwed up is that?? Everyone makes mistakes but usually disposing and burning a body isn't one of them. Cold blooded.

Most of us are protective of the ones we love and even a good person wanting to do the right thing , well it might take them a min. to actually do it. She could have been in denial those 2 weeks, who knows. The thing is she DID eventually do the right thing... After he had told me that, I would have dropped him like a hot potato and never went back around him, talk to him, or, claimed he was still my boyfriend!! I would not have waited any time to head straight to the police and tell them what I was told! Murdering and burning a body is way too disgusting than just about anything! (except murdering a child or old person!)

For a man to murder a woman is pretty cowardly . few women could defend themselves against a man . men ARE bigger / stronger . & built for battle . I am convinced of that . look at the case if the serial killer who chose to kill a 120# woman . He told police that 120# woman fought for her life " kicked my butt " ( he told the police ) but still he was able to subdue her & kill her , even though she was an expert at tae kwon do .

First of all, this is a lot, I mean quite a lot of hearsay in a witness testimony. The attorney has led her in at least 4 questions, and I'm not halfway through the testimony. There is also an alarming amount of details for someone who was not present, or aware of the crimes until 12+ years later. I am beyond words for why.

What's up with the shaking camera at 12:35 in? Anyway... watching this lady testify kinda makes me wanna barf! She called him her "boyfriend"(present tense) AND... she was actually smiling(at him and just in general)as she pointed him out at the start of her testimony. It looked like she was happy and/or maybe even PROUD to say that he IS (NOT WAS... but IS) her boyfriend. I couldn't even imagine ever wanting to breathe the same air as that man after learning ge was involved IN ANY WAY, nvm live with AND SLEEP WITH him after that and I sure as Hell would NEVER be able to SMILE at the sight of him... in a courtroom, at his TRIAL for taking part in the devestating murder and cover up, of the murder, that took the life of a beautiful, wonderful, woman as is in this case! This lady needs SERIOUS help because she's either very pathedic and DESPERATE or... she's just as SICK as him! To be able to SMILE and call him her "boyfriend" and to STAY even one more gazilla-minute with THAT GROSS, DISGUSTING, P.O.S. of a "MAN", is just UNREAL to me!
