Let’s be clear here. She only made a statement after asking the GBI about the reward money. She only did this for the reward money and to help her boyfriend get off for actually killing Tara. Not out of any sense of doing what’s right. Don’t be fooled by her intentions.
@Ranillon4 жыл бұрын
@@eatmyoctopus So? The whole point of a reward is to encourage people to come forward with information. Now that it worked the woman is to be condemned? Remember, if you weren’t involved in a crime that you otherwise know about you are legally NOT REQUIRED to inform the authorities, in no small part because it could be dangerous. After all, Duke #2 if he had found out or even her boyfriend could have put her life in jeopardy. And at least the right thing was done in the end.

Defense is trying to build the case that there was mental trauma from being in the armed forces, for Bo Dukes. In reality, he just helped his old buddy from childhood who was also a fellow soldier. The bond was strong. But he hid a murder, and in sentencing Bo got 25 yrs on all 4 counts. Seems a very long sentence, so justice was served. His girlfriend did the right thing. It may not have been immediate, but the mind needs time to process things, and also she could have felt in danger from Ryan or Bo, herself. What boggles the mind though, is why she would continue to date him after he was indicted. That is not a sign of good mental health.

@Samdu Cisco Really? Charged with what? She may have been slow in coming forward, but she had nothing to do with it. She came forward, stepped up and helped the police finally solve the case. Without her it’s doubtful that they’d have solved it.

@Samdu Cisco Sorry, I do not agree with that. She didn’t break the law, She did not aid, abet or cover up the murder. She was told about it, 12 years after the commission of the crime and came forward with that knowledge several weeks later, that is not a crime. She didn’t even know her boyfriend at the time the murder and cover up were committed. She met him in 2015 and found out he helped dispose of her body in 2017.

I’ve been listening to the podcast and when Payne Lindsey spoke with her on the phone, I did not find her credible AT ALL!! She keeps saying “that’s the God’s honest truth”……how do you know?? She wasn’t there. I’m thinking it was Bo Dukes that killed Tara. I don’t think Ryan Duke did it. I think the narrative that is trying to be told here is backwards. I think Ryan helped Bo get rid of the body but Bo is most likely the one who killed Tara. This chick is just trying to convince people her bf is innocent. Hardly!

What's up with the shaking camera at 12:35 in? Anyway... watching this lady testify kinda makes me wanna barf! She called him her "boyfriend"(present tense) AND... she was actually smiling(at him and just in general)as she pointed him out at the start of her testimony. It looked like she was happy and/or maybe even PROUD to say that he IS (NOT WAS... but IS) her boyfriend. I couldn't even imagine ever wanting to breathe the same air as that man after learning ge was involved IN ANY WAY, nvm live with AND SLEEP WITH him after that and I sure as Hell would NEVER be able to SMILE at the sight of him... in a courtroom, at his TRIAL for taking part in the devestating murder and cover up, of the murder, that took the life of a beautiful, wonderful, woman as is in this case! This lady needs SERIOUS help because she's either very pathedic and DESPERATE or... she's just as SICK as him! To be able to SMILE and call him her "boyfriend" and to STAY even one more gazilla-minute with THAT GROSS, DISGUSTING, P.O.S. of a "MAN", is just UNREAL to me!

It's all so very sad. Do not ever be willing to help someone who has made their own mistake. A friend is not required to become part of a wrong choice. A friend shows them what to do right after an error is made. Alcohol is a drug. It fogs your brain and emotions. I am glad she did the right thing period. What a horrible thing for the family, community, and all affected Don't disregard those who stepped up regardless of why. You do not know the why
