I suppose the update was about the B&KR so maybe the hydrogen train that just seems to sit there doing nothing wasn't enirely relevant but there do not seem to be any recent developments. Not surprising really as in October 2022, the German state of Baden-Württemberg announced that it would not be considering further use of hydrogen trains, as a study it commissioned found them up to 80% more expensive than electric trains powered by batteries or overhead wires. Maybe all the wise people who have been praising the idea have now been forced to admit that the emperor actually doesn't have any clothes. There certainbly seem to be plenty of people these days determined to tell us that the naked emperor really has the finest clothes you could imagine. Group think is a wonderful thing. Head of Technology here. Chief Executive there. Professor here. Government minister there. There's no shortage of highly-placed people telling us what wonderful clothes the emperor has.
