So him being a good cancrusher but a mediocre contender makes absolute sense. Nickal on the other hand hasnt revealed any weakness about him at this point. He is just less offensive than Hamzat, which doesnt mean much.

I think my opinion on Bo nickel is that he is very pampered. And that’s not me saying that he hasn’t worked hard for his success and talents. Ironically Bo would have a better chance beating Khamzat than many other top fighters this early in Bo’s career. Khamzat is very confident in his wrestling and would challenge him there. He might slightly outperform Bo in the first round but would gas out and get dominated by the much better cardio machine that is Bo Nickal as the fight progressed. The fighters that are most dangerous for Bo are great strikers with great takedown defense. Bo’s striking is very primitive at this early stage of his career. He should just go with what the UFC brass want and slowly work his way up the rankings and continue to improve his striking, ground and pound, and submissions. He still looks stiff and confused at times as most inexperienced fighters do.

One more thing I’m gonna add the reason why I think Bo is talking this way is because he had that grappling match with Gordon Ryan, who’s not only bigger than Bo but is also believed to be the absolute best BJJ practitioner in the world so perhaps this confidence is coming from him being able to hang with Ryan even tho he eventually ended up losing that match. But ironically regarding Khamzat fighting former middleweights, Robert Whittaker did start his career as a middleweight and even got finished by Stephen Wonderboy Thompson and yes, Whitaker is definitely a real middleweight but it’s interesting to note that even Bobby Knuckles technically is a former welterweight. I do agree with you tho that there’s no way Bo is going to be a favorite against Khamzat until he’s beaten at least a couple of legit middleweight opponents and I think Hernandez vs Bo would be around 50/50 in terms of odds realistically speaking although the bookies might make Bo a prohibitive favorite yet again, in which case I’m betting Fluffy without a doubt…

Wrestling champ in high school, went on to be very Average at college, So I have first hand experience on how hard it is to be an elite collegiate wrestler. Now I do MMA and spar to keep in shape. The fact that pereira started training in his early 20s, while Bo has been training since childhood is embarrassing for Bo, dude has the best skill base in MMA, is talking mad crazy about other contenders, but faces cans and wants to keep it that way for his next fights. All of this while Pereira almost went straight to championship fights at what? 7-1? Ikram and khamzat would KO Bo first round.

I think mma mainstreammedia is way too cocky about this topic. So far Nickal hasnt revealed any weakness, while Chimaev looked horrible against an old and small Kamaru Usman. Most people even think it was a robbery. I would put my money on Nickal. He is a nightmare matchup for Chimaev, since he is the better wrestler. Chimaev would have to keep the fight standing and winning via striking, which he never managed to did in his carreer.

When Ikram fought Khamzat, his opponents' combined record was 27-18. In contrast, when Bo fought Jamie, the combined record of opponents Jamie had defeated was 52-26. However, the total record of all his opponents prior to the Bo Nickal fight was 114-40. I think you could easily argue that Jamie Pickett was more experienced and perhaps more talented than the Ikram that Khamzat initially fought. Ikram is obviously a monster now, and a different beast from when he fought Khamzat, but It's been six years.
