Bo, two things you need to work on, 1. Ground and pound. Your ground and pound was non existant. You seemed very sport jiu jitsu focused. You need to use G&P and the subs will become much easier. 2. Your chain wrestling against the cage. Guys like Khabib and Makhachev figured out long ago, that wrestling against the cage is very different to wrestling in the open.
@raynegallegos7184 ай бұрын
Cage wrestling was fine he took Brundage down within 20 seconds of him being against the cage. Agree with the ground and pound. Although I will say I think he should emphasize the ground and pound only to open up his ability to finish with jiu-jitsu. Took a round and half to sink in a RNC when it could've likely been done in the first should Bo have committed to G&P. Still think sky's the limit for him since he's taking his time to evolve as a fighter.

Bo will be dominate for a long time as long as he never forgets to acheive dominant body position first and then finish fights in the style of Khabib. If he trys to create EXciting fights with his hands, he is accepting risk. Every fighter that forgets who they are becomes something they are not and then begins fighting in a style that is not most effective. Bo's is a wrestler above all else. I hope he does'nt get tricked into trying to prove he is something different. Close the distance, take the fight to the ground, acheive dominate body position and finish the fight. If he gets away from this basic formula, he accepts risk.

For all those who think “wrestler = boring fighter” go watch some of Bo’s wrestling matches, he was one of if not the most entertaining wrestlers to ever put on a singlet and must see tv. I have full faith it will translate to his fights give the dude some time to develop. I mean in 6 pro fights dude has 6 finishes in like 12 minutes of total fight time how is that boring? Gotta throw them hands and elbows to open them opportunities up.

It'd be awesome if Bo really looks to develop a Khabib-like cage wrestling and overall MMA wrestling style. Being an elite ground & pound specialist is always scarier, more dangerous, and more effective than grappling against someone predominantly looking for submissions. Having Khabib-like grappling is much more exciting also.
