Voyage of Despair is an amazing map when it comes to things to do. There are so many countless useful and fun sidequests that getting bored on Voyage is actually challenging. This makes it one of the best maps to ever exist.

Dead of the night is the greatest zombies map of all time.I love the layout of the map,the wonder weapon,the pack a punch quest,the easter egg,even the characters (Except for the fortune teller).I also love the entire 1900s vibe the map has,and the ending cutscene was absolutely perfect.

bo4 zombies isn't just the clear-cut best zombies game, but one of the best games of that year. 8 for 8 on zombies, a fucking phenomenal battle royale, and one of the most high skill ceiling multiplayers in the franchise. no campaign genuinely makes it so much easier to grade given how hit or miss they have been since 2018.

But what you said made a lot of sense. Even people who don't religiously play Call of Duty could tell it was all reused assets. My girlfriend who doesn't even play FPS games picked up on it. It's a shame too because when they try we know they can make really replayable games that people will still go back to upwards of 13 years later. There are still people playing world at War And black ops 1 zombies. So if they threw in the extra mile and made a standalone game people would play it for the next 15-ish years No problem.

For the Elixer/Gobblegum debate, I think IWs Fate & Fortune cards have them both beat, like Elixers you have them, essentially, on demand, you have five on you at a time like Gobblegums, you can't use the same one twice without refilling your cards ingame via the fortune teller machine(s) around the map, they have you cycle through each card with up and down on the dpad (and whatever it is on keyboard and mouse) meaning it frees up left and right for other mechanics, they also limit the amount you can use, two refills, three total uses of each card, it's a drawback, yeah, but realistically what're you gonna do with a fourth Packin' Heat or Scoped Dollars, refilling your pack costing points is a good act of ballancing, 3000 for the first and 6000 for the second is fair, and zombie crates giving you three different Fortune cards at a time, with two of each of the three with a rare zombie crates was a good system, and I'm glad BO4 adopted the getting three at a time thing for Elixers, and you couldn't just pop a Fate & Fortune card from the start either, earning/spending points to charge it up is a good way to make sure at the very least some of your game is without any buffs before you use whatever card you use for your setup, I can see why the system could be disliked or even hated by some, but personally, I think it was the best of the three

I think the perfect gobblegum system is the effects of the gobblegums but with the system of Fate 'N' Fortune Cards from Infinite Warfare. Manual activation, no gobblegum machine, and it only consumed a maximum of one card from your inventory per game.

Casuals killed zombies. Casuals complain about anything that isnt Nacht Der Untoten which is why devs are too afriad too inovate or do something more with the gamemode like what bo4 or IW tried doing. "It's too hard" or "it's too complicated" which is why we dont get multi-layered maps and long easter eggs. Part of the reason bo3 was so successful was because it had a nice mix of casual and hardcore maps. Now every map needs to be Kino 2.0 or else casuals will complain.

I have to say, i was pretty sure bo4 was bad until a couple of months ago, but i found out your channel and i totally changed idea. I got the game, i completed botd ee (with your awesome guide) and in trying DOTN ee right now. Sure, hellion salvo and specialist ruin the game, but other than that, the game is full of content and stuff to do, even with more progression than bo3, the ee are hard and have some really bad steps, but they are so different compared ti others just like all the maps, up until bo3 every maps plays the same: get power, get jugg, get pap, get wonder weapon from box, ecc. bo4 adds so much more and if you want to actually tryhard on a game, bo4 is the right game. But your videos have gotten me into BO4 for the first time and so far I did the IX ee (dont know why I did that first) and now going in storyline order and doing Blood of the Dead

Hot take for next video: IW Zombies is one of top 3 zombie games and if WW2 Zombies got a tiny bit more polish and better/more interesting cast/story it would be 10x more appreciated and definitely not considered the worst zombies game by many. If you think about it, WW2 Zombies nailed the esthethics, atmosphere, horror aspect of zombies, how easter eggs should be approached (special easter egg for hardcore and regular one for casual audience), on top of zombie variety and wonder weapons being quite decent. It would be kinda like BO2 with some bad maps objectively (Darkest Shore and Tortured path, I am looking at you two) but backed up by so many great things.

Bo4 gave us a lot but I feel like they left out a bunch of things they could’ve added to end the primus and ultimus crew. Seeing it was the end of that story, the ending in tag with the still cinematics were very underwhelming for me. With the new crew, it was like playing zombies all over again.. sorta. Good for new zombie players and something new and different for veterans. Maps were cool. Nine and ancient evil felt similar but all the maps felt different and really detailed that era or theme of the map.

8:20 I've been watching your channel for a while now, while still disagreeing with most of the opinions. I'm a diehard BO2/3 enjoyer. When you say that most people instantly write you off when you say something good about BO4, it's probably because those people first-hand experienced BO3. Nostalgia and the age you played the game matter as well, obv. There's a lot of focus on the actual gameplay but not the community during these games' lifespans, and I would say that zombies was much more in the limelight during BO3. BO4, in the moment, felt like a slap in the face after their zombies reveal. Any attempt at trying to find something good in that just reminds us about the slap and feels like a far stretch. THAT'S why people write off BO4 enjoyers. Not because of the game, but because of the memories associated with its release.

I think they should've either brought back the whole Aether crew or started a completely new time line. I mean we got 2/5 of the main characters back of Samantha and Richtofen. I think one of Blood of the Dead's main problems is BO4's mechanics. BO4's OP mechanics like special weapons, perks, the 4-hit system, and elixirs break the map's immersion of the Primis Crew being tortured in a cycle with no hope.

Cold War deserves all the blame for the way zombies is today. We would not have had Vanguard without the success of Outbreak. Cold War was the first zombies game made for non-zombies players, and it performed better than ever, so now Zombies is gone forever.

Happy Newyear, my hot take is Willard Wyler is the best zombies character ever, not the best written but idc I love his humor and he gives the maps in IW so much character. Remove one of the primis characters besides Richtofen and i would not care that much... but if you remove WIllard from any map you have a WW2 map, I love WIllard Wyler and the fact you can play as him is amazing. IW is unbelievebly underrated.

This hot take might make people attack me in the comments but I think Origins is a B tier map, overall the map is B tier because the map is tight and that wouldn’t be a problem if the Panzer was on the map, I can’t run from him, that would be like putting the Margwa on Five(which is a top 5 map for me) , the Templar Zombies are so annoying, worse than the Denizens and the staffs got overshadowed by the Bows on DE and the Gauntlet from AE though they are innovative and was the mother to all of those elemental wonder weapons, Die Rise and Tranzit is better than Origins but don’t you worry, Gorod and Mob of the Dead are my favorite maps

Hot take: BO1 is the most overrated zombies experience we have. Every EE on the game is either mid or just flat out terrible (you can only do one of the EEs on that game solo btw, and even then that particular one only has like 4 short steps), half of the maps don't hold up at all and there is not a single one that is top 5 or even top 10, and a good portion of the maps play virtually identically and lack uniqueness in the modern day. The best map is Moon which is saying something considering that that map is filled to the brim with flaws. High rounds are fun and challenging but round progression is significantly slower than it is on later games, subtracting from potential enjoyment one can get from the experience, and while good high rounds are a good aspect of a game, that's basically all there is to do on BO1 which sucks considering you can have a great high round experience on other games on top of other things. Overall, BO1 zombies is good, but to say that it's the goat or that it's even top 3 I would strongly disagree with.

BO2 innovated zombies more than BO1. People only comment on the maps and not the gameplay design and intention. Whilst Tranzit and Die Rise were fumbled in execution, they offered us perma perks and the bank system paving the way for replayability trying to build up points for the next game and so on. BO1 might have had “better” maps, but BO2 did more for the mode

As someone who has played a decent amount of every zombies game, yeah BO1 is definitely the best zombies experience hands down. It’s got a great mix of easy and difficult maps, remasters of all the WaW maps, and generally has simple and intuitive ways to PaP with slightly more complicated Easter eggs ranging from the simple song Easter eggs to blowing up the earth in Moon. Also, gobblegums and elixers completely ruined zombies imo. Basically just another way for Activision to sell “pay to play better” mechanics and they trivialized so many maps. Basically every strat was “use perkaholic/shopping spree, get wonder weapon, sit in one area”. Some older maps had this issue too, but at least you had to actually explore the whole map to get every perk or do extra Easter egg tasks to get every perk like killing George in Call of the Dead. Hell, even the thunder gun in Kino didn’t create drops, so you had to alternate between thunder gun and fire trap strats and use bullet weapons on insta-kill rounds. No offense to BO4 enjoyers, but high rounding BO4 is incredibly boring

i will defend BO2 till the day i die, Tranzit isnt bad, it is extremely difficult and the bus is unpredictable but thats part of the fun, every game is different and the Jetgun isnt overpowered just to be overpowered like the Thundergun, and Die Rise just takes some getting used to, its the most Jimmy Zelinksi map out there and the elevators add another element of RNG (whos who is a terrible perk) but i feel like all the people who curl up in a ball when there is no Exilers or Gobblegums just haven't given them a fair chance

My main problem with bo4 and cold war is it eats 100gb and only give half of a game to play…in cold war case just 25% of the game…..the rest of the game is locked behind being online and ps plus is NOT FREE and you CANT DO THE DAMN EE offline…..few more things on bo4…the guns are absolutely trash and they feel like bo1 weapons in that they lack power…also the elixir is a downgrade from the gums because to me i like the randomness of the gums and they just feel tasty and you’re not forced to use them.

Actually, I agree with Machobeast. Nightmare was much better and more fun than the "normal" campaign. Zombie campaigns can be a terrific add-on to the regular, often predictable and bland campaigns.

Bo4 is hands the best cod for multiplayer movement. If they put that movement into the bo2 remaster, it would be fucking killer. The zombies need bo3’s movement and it’s a chef’s kiss. I honestly think they had the movement down and ever since then, it’s been shit. The slide canceling felt balanced because you actually need to run dexterity to get the benefits unlike the new cods where it’s fucking weapon attachments that does that. It’s god awful. Keep or take out specialists, I don’t really care since it’s all about the aggression in the player with the weapon in their hands. The grapple hook is amazing and it’s sad as shit that CW has it in Outbreak but man that version is so buggy.

Der Eisendrache is a C tier map at best. The easter egg is way too easy and fast to cokplete, the setup process is easy and mostly repetitive (most of the time u will only build the storm bow), the high rounds are mindlessly boring, the map has very little content in regards to side quests, DE only has the Ragnaroks while Gorod Krovi has the shield upgrade, the dragon strike upgrade, the helmets, the monkey bomb upgrade and more. Out of all the BO3 maps, DE has the weakest high rounding, easter egg and setup process. It is only regarded so highly because it was a casual map in a more complicated era.

Cold war did ruin the community. It made it to where any asshole who could read the side of the screen can do an e.e. easily, taking away difficulty. It also deprived us of individualism. I liked that they added Samantha maxis, but the skins they added just made it feel less impact full. The changes they made with salvage and Armour is what took it over the bad line fer me. It don't belong in round based, it does in mwz, but not round based. Bo4 was the best version of zombies we ever got so far. Good guns, great changes, elixirs are better than g.g.s, the perk system was better, all around the best version of zombies they've ever givin us to date.
