For the issues with knifing my suggestions would be: 1. For Countering Recon • Make it to where holding your melee doesn’t proc the sixth sense. You aren’t “aiming” anything by sneaking up on them • Alternatively, do the same thing but attach it to Ninja or another perk like cold blooded or tracker to give them more love. 2. For the issue of bullet stun, I can see a the dev’s POV of if everyone has a melee then they need to taper the power of the melees, but I agree that bullet stun is stupid and shafts the people who take the time to master knifing. My suggestions are • Attach immunity to the Bruiser perk, it’s a dedicated melee perk that currently doesn’t do enough for melees to consider running without it being a greed slot perk. • introduce a wildcard that lets you go melee only and have a slew of benefits such as immunity to bullet stun, and perhaps infinite tac sprint like the new mechanic in Warzone or extra tomahawks. You could call the card “Maniac” Just my suggestions. My approach is to add more options rather than straight fixes or buffs as those would make EVERY person stronger and not just those of us who commit to a melee build. Since mw3, I have been a knife only player. Skipped some cods here and there, but through the years, I've played side by side other ninjas and knifers, Kyci, DeathViaBlade, SlayedByBlade, Knife Handler. Sadly, this cod has caused me to venture outside my preferred playstyle. Recon and stunning bullets are awful additions to this game. I'm just going to get dark matter, and then I'll continue knifing only, but until they fix some things, the knifing playstyle is effectively ruined. Hopefully, we can get our Balistic Knife soon.

As someone who doesn’t strictly knife but really enjoys knifing especially when they add the weird fun melees like the arm from bo3 or superhero action figure from bo4 when I got dm in this game melees were by far my least favourite weapon class for me the stun wasn’t just the first life so I’ve been dealing with it since day 1 and that mixed with the baseball bat being a 2 hit for some reason really ruined melees for me this year, I’m excited for the power drill but I feel like the stun and that also being a 2 hit will really ruin the excitement for me

I want to melee in this game so bad because it's so fun, but oh my god it feels impossible in this game. Like you said, practically everyone is using Recon, which basically means using Recon gives you like 3 extra perks with no counter. And I can't understand why in the world they would give everyone stunning bullets only against people with a melee weapon. I basically can't run around to close the distance or escape, and I can't sneak up on anyone without them knowing. On top of that, the throwing axe was one of the last things you unlock before prestiging, along with the bat, which isn't even a good melee weapon. It just feels like they did everything thing they could to discourage people from using this playstyle, like it's some OP and unfair way to play the game.
