Great video. My oldest boa is a 2020 male. I was always worried I had underfed him, but he's pretty close in size to the one you showed.

great video, straight to the point. You got me looking at my 2 year old males like they’re a little small, lol

Ya man. Great video. For awhile I was concerned that my female IMG was going to be small, but being patient is key. She just turned 4 last month and around 5 1/2 feet long. I hope she grows another foot long.

I love this video! Due to The slight differentiation of size and to some degree growth rate of BCs depending on their geographical location, i had so many questions about my slow growing babies eventual size and growth rate. ❤

For that adult male, would you say a 4x2x2 enclosure is an appropriate size or would you argue that it’s too small?
@JasonsExoticReptiles3 ай бұрын
It depend on how big the male is, but generally that should be okay.

Great informative video! Can you do another with talking about sizes of bcc's. Not sure if you breed or keep these. Suriname, guyana, peruvians, argentines.
@JasonsExoticReptiles5 ай бұрын
I can, but they are pretty much the same. Argentines and Peruvians will get larger but not until they are adults

I've got a seven foot male motley het snow male, he's huge 😅 and a normal female who's growing like a weed, so much faster than another female I have .
@JasonsExoticReptiles5 ай бұрын
Just make sure you’re not feeding too much.

@@JasonsExoticReptiles I feed every two weeks, hopefully that's alright? I give them rats usually, a little smaller than their widest part or about the same size.
@JasonsExoticReptiles5 ай бұрын
@@Little_Green_Heron that sounds about right. I have a couple videos on feeding that you can check out but it’s similar to what I would recommend. Every animal is different and grows at a different rate.

@@JasonsExoticReptiles oh definitely, I monitor weight and size constantly, none of them have ever been over or under weight, I know boas especially can be prone to that because they'll eat pretty much whenever 😅

I have a few boas , my female Nicaraguan is super tiny she’s around 3 yrs old and may😢2-3 fr long and about the size of a 50cent piece. I know she’s a dwarf species but I feel she should be a little bit bigger 🤷♂️
@JasonsExoticReptiles5 ай бұрын

That’s just made up stories and would exceed the record of about 12ft. A 12 ft boa would be like an 8ft person.
