Board Down Under: When to sleeve your board game cards

I try to sleeve all my games because I'm paranoid about damaged cards and I generally like the feeling of thicker cards in the hand. I find they're a must with games that are often played or shuffled frequently. However a pet peeve of mine is when manufacturers make inserts that don't accommodate sleeves, be it the sleeves not fitting in the space or spilling out due to the thickness.

We like to sleeve as much as possible because we want to preserve our games, but it's super frustrating when the cards then don't fit and you end up having to find an alternative storing solution!!

I started sleeving my base game of Agricola... but now I've got the Farmers of the Moore plus every deck A-D and it's just so many cards! I have all the sleeves for it but now I don't know where I'm gonna put all the cards lol, they most certainly won't be fitting back in the box, that's for sure.

Bought CMON's Marvel United with the express intention of playing it with my 9 year old... and yeah, given the proximity of sugary drinks and sticky fingers, I sleeved that right up!!! A LOT of card sleeves but, like you mention in your video, think of it as 'insurance'!!!

I sleeve every card for every game but because you can never be too careful I only drink neat bourbon when gaming, no condensation 🥃😜👍🏻
