You both have nice voices and talk camly and clearly! :) I just came from a 72 min video about this game (I lasted 4 mins) where a woman was talking in the most annoying way she could think of, like she was in character (?). Keep it up, guys! :)

Wow you 2 are amazing I'm surprised you haven't blown up. Great camera work and synergy between you two I hope you're still making vids. I'm just watching this now 2 years late because I finally decided to pick ankh up. Hi from Canada 🇨🇦 great work

having the 2 of you doing the explanation really helps a lot. i also like and noticed when one is talking, the other is looking at them, and that helps me to focus on what that person is saying better than the normal 'both persons stare into the camera' and now 2 ppl are looking at me lol

Your explanation is great and production quality is also equally good. Hopefully you'll continue making more videos.

Appreciate a review that uses the retail version rather than the difficult (impossible) to get Kickstarter version with its entirely different tokens and additional figures. Makes it easier to follow.

I started sleeving my base game of Agricola... but now I've got the Farmers of the Moore plus every deck A-D and it's just so many cards! I have all the sleeves for it but now I don't know where I'm gonna put all the cards lol, they most certainly won't be fitting back in the box, that's for sure.

Hey, I read the rulebook, thought I understood, but was happy to realize some corrections from your video. Thanks for the clarifications!

Good and helpful breakdown of how to play. It got me and my spouse started! But what’s with that pronunciation of the game’s name? The guy says Ankh like it rhymes with the American nickname Hank. He says “Ra” with the right long “Ah” sound but leaves it out of the name of the game. 😮

Good job! Really enjoyed it. I own the game and didn‘t play it yet.

Really good video on sleeving. Great beginners' guide! I started sleeving with the Resistance and Exploding Kittens when crucial role cards and bomb cards had got marked to the point of revealing information after this. It wasn't long afterwards that I began sleeving almost everything. I'd say it can get out of control, especially when you start sleeving games you only end up playing once or twice. However, it's comforting to know that decades from now when you've got kids/grandkids, they should be able to enjoy games whose cards aren't damaged or shiny from greasy fingers. I've also noticed that less careful people (usually non-hobbyists, including kids) tend to treat your cards better if they see they're wrapped in plastic 😂 The process of sleeving is also incredibly therapeutic and zen-like. All the points about shuffling, box size etc... in this video are true and worth taking into account if you're thinking of starting. In my case, many boxes have lost their inserts due to the amount of space needed to accommodate sleeved decks of cards.

After you remove the insert, how do you store them?

Good job guys, one thing of note, when you steal the crown with an event, the person who had the crown stays as the first player for that round, then you get to be first player on the next round.
@Tuxedoian Жыл бұрын
You actually have a choice, it's an optional rule that if the crown changes hands, the person with the crown becomes first player during the next phase of play.

My fav Great Wall How to Play. You two make a great pair. It is subtle but the back and forth keeps a long HtP from becoming a blur.

So this is how we play: The players of the merged gods always sit together (moving seats if necessary) and take single action turns back to back, (turn order proceeds as if there's only 1 main player) however they loses the ability to take the same action back to back if: 1. They no longer score last on the track 2. They are less than 7 points behind the leader. They can still take bottom then top action in this case. Solves all the problems at all player counts

A true rulebook replacement. Thank you.

I've played 2 games. It was both times a confusing non-game. You build the wall and you get some soldiers and you try to get resources. You tick up some honour and after a handful of turns you are done?? Where is the game? The command cards seem really random as well, any card seems good.

Osiris, is so impresive. It just spam miniatures in the table, in a combination with the mummy cats or the mummy, makes a great deal. All the games i have play, Ra make the most powerfull rush of points, its a good god for the early game. Isis it's good, nice counter to Anubis, but i feel it a little slow. Amon is the best god in games for 2 players. Anubis, i don't like it so much, but makes you constantly aware of his force. I havent played with the Phanteon expa, but at least, Seth call my attention.

I belive the Merge works verry well in 4+ players games, but its awful in a 3 players game. I agree with the sitting position. We play like that as a house rule. The lower god moves to be right after the right one. That way they can comunicate cards by showing and poiting, instead of saying its name. And they always make their two actions in a row.

Appreciate the video. Although, you missed some scoring details for defeating Horde cards. Specifically, players with at least one soldier on the defeated horde card get 2 honor. Also, players with archers in firing positions for the wall section get 2 honor per Archer. I was wondering why a player would opt to draft an Archer and this would make sense as to why.

IMO Amun is so overpowered in this game that It takes a lot of strategy to catch Up with him in the devotion track. It never merges in any of our games.

@20:58, that seems incorrect, returning clerks to the embassy space means players need to buy them again, I think maybe the visual clip was misplaced. Great video by the way, really helpful.

Just started a game with my family, I’m really enjoying it but is seems like the early game can have more long term consequences than you’d think, my brother & I invested heavily in locking down monuments early on and are now stomping our parents, the trick is whether the 2 of us will be able to get out of the red from this next conflict round
@BoardDownUnder2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good experience to be had by all (exceptaybe your parents ahaha). No but seriously sounds like you're having fun with it. Have you played much more?
@griffincrump50772 жыл бұрын
@@BoardDownUnder yea we finished that game, played another with just my brother & Dad and then another with 4 of my friends. It was really fun and I think it is a really great game. I’ve played Osiris, Ra & Isis and was able to enjoy each of their unique playstyles. (Also I won all 3 of those games, not a completely new trend but the games of Ankh were quite a bit closer than most)
