You raise some very good points. I also got Magic the Gathering vibes from this, mainly because of the interactions with your opponents' boardstate. And yes it does seem like a perfectly "fine" game, but I'm not sure if I want to invite friends over just for playing this. The need of a point tracker is also a very good point.

It's really interesting seeing a game like this because I've been designing a card game of a similar weight and I definitely been hit with the "you're stuck in between too casual and not strategic enough". It's def been a journey

Also as a comment on the showdown, the coolest game I've ever played of this we had 5 players and the 5th player won by making the other players have the same points and won with 0 points
