@@NAHS1493 As someone who played the FFTCG for years, the game really fell off imo. It used to feel like there were themes to decks you make, but now it's just mash whatever meta card there is together. If i wanted to do that, I'd play MTG.

​@@bakakubiThat literally makes no sense. In 2017/18 it was much more about generically good cards and now it is much more about synergy. Last year there was a 50 FF6 card deck that was arguably thr best deck, now there is a Chaos self-mill dredge deck, a Mono Earth deck with a ton of payoffs for playing one color, a knight tribal deck, etc. etc. FFTCG continues to be the goat

Intermission was the name of the Yuffie DLC for Remake, so that’s where that comes from. A touch too confusing here tho, I think.

I don't always agree with your reviews, but really appreciate that you're completely honest about everything. A lot of board game reviewers will gloss over thematic disconnects, production issues, or even just write-off anything anime or vide-game themed.

Are some of the icons just wrong? When an arrow is pointing to the back of a card, I'd expect that to mean you flip it face down but you kept saying face up.

Interesting! I can see a lot of the influence from the TCG in the actions and complexity, which really doesn't work with the simplicity of this game. The actions and scoring also feel a lot like Queen's Blood, I wonder if there was some influence there one way or the other. Maybe it's hard to tell from the video, but the materials seem kinda cheap? Like the cards for the TCG are really nice material and the designs are unique, and just in general I find Square makes quality merchandise. So right away it struck me that this doesn't really stand up to some of the other products they have available.

Looks fun, for what it is. I wish they'd make these Final Fantasy board games more thematic, Chocobos Crystal Hunt was fine enough for a short easy card game but the theme was also non existent.

If you like 14, the Gold Saucer board game is actually pretty fun, and it's kinda thematic because it plays a lot like the mini-cactpot, which I did every day in XIV

Adding the word 'Remake' seems so redunant. the game makes me feel like it targets grandma who doesn't know better and buys it for christmas becayse she assumes it is better because it has 'Remake' on it. Final Fantasy 7 isn't even about collecting Materia em mass, the best thing about the end of the game, is that you get to put it away and never think about it again. SE confirming again that the level of respect they have for their different IP is so erratic.

@@michaelwallace9461 he literally just flipped a card for the FIRST time with a just unboxed game and it was already bent when he obviously did not inflict that much strength on it, definitely bad quality for sure...not only they did a very generic game, but cut corners for it too...at least the "print" is of quality. If it was the same as the materials OH MAN it would be so fuzzy and like a video on 240p.
