Yes - the clash mats in the pre-production copies were not properly backed up to each other. There's supposed to be a single clash mat with the grass field on one side and snow/Skyrim on the opposite. Our factory has corrected the issue for the final print run, but we wanted content creators to be able to see both pieces of biome art, and thus included both of the big clash mats with identical art on both sides. 🙂 THIS WAS COVERED IN THE PRE-PRODUCTION NOTICE THAT YOU SKIPPED OVER, ALEX! YOU'RE KILLING US! But all love. Also yes, for anyone watching - combat is a basic starting skill that everyone starts with. The marbled blank dice are fatigue and overfatigue dice which clog up your cooldown track at the bottom of your character mat. (Also see you Tuesday at Gen Con! 🙂)

So cool to see it in someone else's hands ^_^ The rulebook has lots of examples and pictures in it. I'm a notoriously slow reader but I went through the rulebook faster than the one for Tamashii for instance. It's really not that bad. The rulebook is just way more comprehensive in many bits.

I will go head and chime in with everyone else. I am currently waiting on over 30 crowdfunding games to deliver but this one is easily the most anticipated. I love Too Many Bones and this game looks so good. I did the All -In Bundle as well. October can't come soon enough!

I have been very excited for this game when I first heard about it. I'm excited to have a chance to see it unboxed and learn a little more before release. I've never played Too Many Bones, but maybe it's worth looking at as well.

I love ESO and board games, but this one was just a miss for me and why i didnt back it. It can go in the direction and I would have gone wild for Gloomhaven style. But chiptheory is just not my cup of coffee. but i wish everyone at the intersection who likes it fun with it.

Why haven't more companies tried out natural rubber playmates over Neoprene like Stonemaier Games has done? Is it a cost issue that most companies would not be willing to take?

I'm not an expert. But I would think it's more to do with how many factories are capable of doing it, where they are located and scale of work. But most importantly companies like to use manufacturers that they are familiar with. It makes communication and quality expectations easier and more consistent.

@Joshua_Tymchyn money. R and D. Tooling. Change in procedure or not enough scope in demand.(kinda of a self feeding doom cycle) I'm not sure how either are made. But I doubt it's the same process with just new material. So new equipment/ set up and more importantly training all the employees. None of which is easy or cheap when working at that scale.

Im a little concerned now that this is going to be even less accessable than too many bones, which I sold unplayed to get this instead because I couldn't get through the rules. Fingers crossed for good teaching videos

CTG could work with Dized app for Elder Scrolls, they supposed to meet together at GenCon as CTG said to give an Elder Scrolls copy to see what Dized could do (if they can) with that HUGE game.

They keep saying it's on track, so I remain hopeful that they'll start shipping in October. Hoping to be playing in November. :D

We'll have a very good sense of *exactly* when we can expect containers to get on the water with completed games next week when we sit down with our manufacturer at Gen Con - but right now we are still on schedule to start fulfilling to backers in October. We expect the response to this game to be massive, so we are extremely anxious to have it to sell over the holidays. Absolutely everything is in mass production right now (and some of the longer to produce bits like dice and chips have been in production for a while already), but it's also our biggest print run of anything ever and a very complex assembly with all the components. Hoping to see containers leave as product is finished rather than waiting for the whole print run to complete and ship all at once.
