Just bought this game for Christmas and it was a HUGE hit. The family played off and on for hours, setting up more ridiculous boards. Our highlight: the clue "constipation" for "porcelain" + "winter"

I'm absolute rubbish at word games, and because of this, I normally give them a wide berth. However, this one really looks like a bundle of fun!I don't know if it's because you guys give it such a fine demonstration, but I could very easily see myself buying this one. Want to give a big shout out for this game! There is actually no need to take photographs of your clover. As shown in the Video, noone looks it up because as soon as the others start to talk about your clover it will come back to your memory all naturally. Don't worry about your memory skills - I've played this game with several people and it never turned out to be an issue for anyone. Greetings

It's interesting watching and playing this game. Some people try to write a word that applies when you read the card words back to back. Other people write a clue that works with both card words individually. Seems hard for people to understand that the other way of giving clues exists.

So my friends and I played this and its a lot of fun, but I agree that the spectator doesn't really get to have a lot of fun. Here's an idea I had to make it a little more fun for the spectator. After you write your 4 words, pass the board to your left so they can see everything before its removed. They look through a handful of unused cards and handpick the decoy. This would make it a lot harder so you might need to get 3 guesses instead of 2. This would make it a lot more fun for the spectator and the person that hand picked the decoy. You might need a different scoring system for this, but when we played we didn't even keep track of points.

This game looks fun (and was a fun watch). I like that it goes up to 6 players. I often find myself with a group of 5 and having to fudge the rules a bit to accommodate. Pretty sure I’ve seen this at my LGS so I’ll probably pick it up. Thanks for featuring it!

So how does this compare to Codenames in terms of fun?

This is slightly more fun to me because it has significantly less down time. Only at the start of a game of So Clover people might struggle with coming up with good clues, while in Codenames this can (and probably will) happen almost every turn. It's also quicker to explain and to set up. Only if you think co-op games aren't that much fun, Codesnames might be better for you.

Yeah, to me this is a bit more fun and accessible than Codenames. Here, you might struggle to come up with some clues, but in Codenames, you are always spending time trying to come up with a way to link 3 words, there is longer and more frequent AP. Linking 2 can be hard, but I find this moves better, and has more laughs.

@@tommygrahn1516 Keep an eye on the posted link, it would show up there, if ever published. So Clover was just nominated for "Spiel des Jahres", which gives games a higher recognition, so I'd say your chances have gone up. (But I know nothing about Swedish Game Publishing Practices...)

You keep thinking of car ball as a thing. You are thinking it wrong. Those two are not supposed to be paired. Both words just have to match the given clue.
