They build the new airport, cost over runs and delayed completion-Great. I hope the people behind the counters and services providers to passengers shall also show courtesy and improved behavior.

Agree about the employees behind the counters. They probably need to take fresh training to deal as per world standard services provider instead of looking at passengers like they are criminals. Also these employees should learns how to smile to improve their image and learn that passengers are respected respected people who pay their salaries through taxes.

Masha Allah. May Allah SWT Bless Pakistan with continuous progress. This Airport looks a lot nicer than many Airports here in USA where I live. The floors in US Airports are usually Grey, to keep costs low, and color schemes are also very disheartening and greyish color. Pakistanis work slowly, but when they make something, they make it really well. The motorways in Pakistan are another examples, they are much better than Pot Hole Riddled Freeways from the 1950's and 1960's we have in the US.

Takes more than an airport to make an airline successful. You need top quality management, modern aircraft, highly trained staff, better routes, excellent customer service, price competitiveness, excellent security record and the list goes on and on. Don’t forget PIA has to compete with airlines that have a lot of money so it’s not going to be easy. Reviving PIA is going to be a monumental task but not impossible, Inshah Allah. “Where there is a will, there is a way”.

PIA must be privatised if can't be freed from political influence that has killed this airline. PIA and all other major institutes began to decline, after Zia UK Haq marshal law. Darkest time of our history our society and country has faced and still are not learning from it

Customer service needs to improve, taking bribes needs to be stopped completely. And harassment of passengers must stop. Last time I travelled, my bags were opened 4 times before getting my boarding card. And all 4 people were demanding a bribe

Thanks God it is finally done after so many times delays which wasted years. This is good videos but still have gapes for improvement. Is there any video from actual department I think that is Civil Aviation? I did not see this news on BBC for some weird reason. I hope they will maintain cleanliness specially the general public. Also I hope they will have fixed seats for passengers instead of these moving office chairs which are not good for general public first it will be hard to keep them in rows and it will be mess chairs sitting everywhere and second these office moving chairs will get broken so fast. I am glad we have an airport to brag about now :)

Moazzam Baig WELL !! I hope they do, you see they will not do whilst in power as they are aware of political loss they might face. Both parties in their tenures have employed incompetent staff to oblige their political workers which are a hefty burden on P&L of PIA, henceforth its not only in loss but very unprofessionally run. I've been working in aviation at Heathrow London for Singapore airline and I'm ashamed to see how pia is run n the way their staff behave....istaghferullah its total and utter shamble

saz1935 actually this government put restriction on Pia during it's tenure that they could not hire any new staff. Cuz as you know Pia was already over staffed and it was (and still is) a Herculean task to lay off the already hired staff. As for how PIA's staff behaves well that's totally up to individuals working. Govt can't do anything but to kick them out which they've been trying to do for past 4 years but rest assured they will do.

Nice new airport but old methods and habits. (1) Same old-fashioned flight announcements. No change. (2) Old lounge music. Nothing new. (3) No snake queue, passengers are huddled on each check-in counter. Looks chaotic. (4) Check-in staff jumping over the luggage weighing scales to cross over (3:13... 3:58....4:59....5:06). Very ungraceful. (5) Floor sweeper !! using wet rag to clean the marble floors at 7:10. Why ? There is no other better way. And this is in a 13 minute video. Most of all Airport authority needs to revamp their old lethargic approach to airport management and train their staff for this beautiful NEW 21st century airport.
