This stuff is great. I repaired my pontoon "playpen" cover for a 22' pontoon. It came apart at the seam, all the way across (10feet). I cleaned it up, lined it up, and put tape on both sides. It's on the boat now, protecting it from the winter/spring pine pollen. Thanks for the video!

Another nice job, Ryker (ie, content ideas and video editing - time lapse & use of description window). In the thumb preview I thought it was the new boat cover, failed to read the title, lol. Hey, Ryker, maybe you habe already done this in past videos, but do you use your chesti? We noticed you were not able to use both hands when repairing the rip. Otherwise, great job! We look forward to your next video, like you tag comments at the end ... Fish on!

Hey Allison! I am in the process of getting some more and newer video equipment to make my videos better! That is also including a chest mount to get a better prospective!

I did the same type of repair to our boat cover, but the Gorilla tape "melted" and left a lot of residue on the back seat where the cover was touching. I taped the top and bottom of the rips and the tape did not hold. Did you have any issues with the tape "melting"?

Hi there Lorri, I’m very sorry to hear about this. I have used my cover on MANY occasions now after the fix and still haven’t had any problems. The tape adhesive is very sticky and I could see in very intense heat and humidity it could affect the results? I do live in the Midwest which doesn’t get as high temps as the lower states. Again, I’m very sorry to hear the fix didn’t work for you, but for my area, it sure does work great! 👌🤙

So how long does it last?
@StrikeRykerFishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tyler! Thanks for the question! I’ve had boat covers done 2 years ago and still are holding strong. The biggest thing to keep in mind is weather conditions and how the boat is stored. Higher humidity, heavy loads of snow, and heat can all affect the tape in different ways. In that perspective, I cannot give you a solid timeframe that the tape will hold, but if treated correctly, totally is worth the money to fix your cover this way! Thanks for your time and hopefully will see you more on the channel!
