Great video, thanks for sharing. Would like to comment regarding HB not warrantying the shaft when a support is used. Have you noticed that Ott Defoe, Carl Jocumsen, Brandon Paliuncuk both have those supports on their TM. I know they are sponsored by HB, but still may they are sponsored by the one that produces the mount...Not sure....Just odd regarding the mount and HB makes that statement, yet 3 of the anglers they support have mounts. Thanks again for the video...good stuff.

Really nice boat Ken. The only concern I'd have with your unit set up is the mapping unit and SI unit not being compatible. I also run 4 grafts but I run 3 birds linked together, With a garmin for just livescope. I can't tell you how many times I mark weighpoints off of my SI and then utilize my mapping unit to fish what I've marked. I don't think one brands any better than the other either. But for me my mapping unit needs to liked to my search unit.

Good video Ken. I have no doubt the guys at Jones are carrying on the legacy of John. And the BBT mounts rock, the geek engineer in me appreciated the fact that the dash mount does not hang the weight of the units off the face like some do, I ran one on my Phoenix for 7 years. Solid. Beautiful boat! One question, is there and advantage to flipping the 360 inward? I see that now and then, been curious why. Thanks!

Ken, this is awesome! Question for you, is the one 31 AGM dedicated to start up, electronics, bilge pumps and aerators? With your old boat (Ranger), did you ever get low on juice with your electronics? Thank you for doing this, it really helps our knowledge and growth.
@rowdybroomstick12163 жыл бұрын
Wow that's alot of strain for one battery! Can you imagine fishing a night derby and nav lights courtesy lights, dash lights, four graph's going hard , two aerators going , possibly two cell phones plugged in and still having to crank up a big motor without damaging the start phase windings in your starter because your dragging a lot! I'd want a current constant voltage of the system shown at all times and watch it start up
@KenSmithFishing3 жыл бұрын
Yes, all off that one battery and yes I had issues but my belief is it was as much my charger not getting that AGM battery fully charged as anything. That said I generally still snooze my back units when I stop to fish which I started doing with last boat and crank battery issues and I’ve just kept doing it

Hey ken, I would like to say that you have changed my mind about bass cats, I was looking at a caymas cx20 and it seemed too expensive for me so I looked at a 2019 eyra and even tho it’s a skinnier boat I think I’ll like it.

@deannaraye61452 жыл бұрын
Love my 2023 Cougar but have to say I am so disappointed that you would have to drill a hole in the boat just to be able replace cable and wires. I had a bad transducer on day two of ownership. I live in Maine and bought the boat in Pennsylvania, so it's not a quick day trip to take it back. had to replace but cannot even get the y cable pulled through the console to removed the old cable. Feels like it is zip tied to the hilt. Also, can't get the shifter panel out of the way because the wires aren't long enough to set it by the seat.

@deannaraye61452 жыл бұрын
@@KenSmithFishing I FINALLY got the cables replaced and old ones removed. Was able to lift out the cup holder on the front of the drivers console and found the wiring basically right there. A last second effort before drilling and putting in the vent plate like you did.

One thing I’ve always wondered having these expensive graphs is someone stealing them while your on the road and parking the rig at a motel overnight. Can these 4 graphs be quickly disconnected and brought into your room or do you just leave them on the boat? Sorry I’m just getting back into fishing and have no experience with all the equipment.

I am curious about something. When reviewing the Charger 210, you mentioned you liked it had a flat spot for mounting units because you didn't like the obstruction having one in front of you while running, yet now it seems much of your field of vision is obstructed. What was the change in thought process for mounting?
