Ok this was a great training/tip video. Please make a few in-depth glass videos. Type of fiber materiel and tricks when applying. Thanks

Your videos and personality are way better than mine. I'd suggest, for a boat with that level of oxidation, what I do; compound and a buffer only. Might sound like something you've heard before but never the way I do it. I'll save you time and money. Cheers!

As a new painter in boat industry even being green i agree with everything you have done to blend. Wet sand, then buff get the surface warm and use some pressure so build heat and to smooth out those scratches. There is a fine line of buffing don’t run it wide open 1000-1800 rpm is where i cap out buffers so you don’t burn through. Single stage paint jobs are much more dangerous gelcoated boats have alot more forgiveness.

Question for ya, I have a very nice 73' skv jet boat that has slightly chalky gel coat. But where there is a color stripe the po had it clear coated to be shinier. Clear is in fair shape. Would it be opening a can of worms to remove the clear? Should I just address the separate coatings/finish separately?

Awesome video I just purchased an older fiberglass boat & there are quite a few tiny hair line cracks, anything I can do about that?

Nice tutorial, I was wondering how much someone can charge on a job done like this. I’ve been thinking of starting my own boat repair company

Canadian boat owners. Don't try sanding the gel coat I freezing weather. It's not only brutal on your hands, but wet sanding gets unpredictable under freezing conditions. A garage or heated Insta-fab semirigid tent with tube heaters is needed

Better question: Why does this piece-of-shit GELCOAT fade? It looks like an old 1960's Volvo! Paint technology has gone way beyond GELCOAT. My car sits in the Phoenix sun every Spring, Summer, Winter & Fall. It has clearcoat over its paint base. It never fades! Why do we accept this poorly engineered miserable crap paint product as though we needed to suffer GOD's penance? Can someone please explain!
