Mann over here in Lincoln i am still a couple weeks away. Still freezing at night. All the lakes are open. I just don’t have a spot to put the boat out of the cold. I can’t wait! Also. Just ordered a wet sounds full system. Bout to wire everything up in the next couple weeks. LETS GO!!!

Isn't it a scary feeling when no water comes out of the exhaust on that first start up of the year? I hate it! Makes me panic that my impeller is burning up, haha! I stopped using anti-freeze a few years back, even though dealerships still do. But a friend of mine told me a while back that the anti-freeze has sugar in it which isn't good for the motor. I'm not 100% sure if it makes a difference but since I used to drain the water out of the motor block a few years back anyways, I thought there was no need to add anti-freeze anymore. Plus, I now use an electronic bilge heater in the motor compartment which keeps the internals above freezing temps. So much easier than going through the whole winterization process.

Yes it does, haha. Yea, I think I would be safe not doing antifreeze but it feels safer to me in the end. My garage only gets below freezing when it's -10 or less outside but it happens every year for a few days at least.

Hi WM - I do what one of the other replies said on my Centurion’s ZZ6 - pop the three hoses, drain the raw water strainer, get as much water as possible out of everything and put an X-Treme engine compartment heater inside the rear end. Those things are bulletproof. If you’re really anxious- use two of them. No antifreeze other than what’s in the block to begin with. Plus the engine compartment heater keeps else nice - like any trapped water in pumps, ramfill valves or anywhere else. I test the heaters periodically during the winter with some cold spray. I pull out one of the plastic 12:01 dividers that keeps my plug and play bag out of the engine compartment and I the heater on top of the back part of the Ramfill tank. You could use the floor of one of your rear storage compartments. Have a great summer. Water is already 72 in Lake Murray SC!!

Nice! We're getting the G25 ready first week of May to put it on the lift for the summer. Not excited to do the impeller but it'll be worth it. They really don't put it in an easy to get to spot. Not sure if it's the exact same location on the ZZ6 as our ZZ8. Looking forward to seeing how the new ballast bags work for you.

Man, I did the exact same thing on our boat this year 😂. Couldn’t figure out what the deal was until I popped that trans hatch. Lo and behold, those three lines were jetting water. Good thing is the impeller was still pumping water!

Haha, Murphys Law. I'm the one that connects and disconnects them and of course I forget but yea, no big deal, the impeller still gets water. This is why I do a summerization before I go to the lake. It would've been filling up the boat at the lake.
