I’m an old guy but I have enough sense to discern between right and wrong and Why Mr. Paul Tuttle is calling this man names and challenging him to a duel I think, is beyond me. I think we all tend to think highly of ourselves but sometimes people get out of hand. My career with a large metropolitan infrastructure organization included spending years as a Stationary Mechanic working my seater off for a solid decade starting up two major upgrades to the facility. One being a Combined Cycle Power Plant where I became a certified Gas Turbine Mechanic and the other being Secondary Treatment Facilities that included a Union Carbide Cryogenic Air Separation Plant making liquid Oxygen used in the biological process. After that stint I spent the next part of my career managing seven Wastewater Treatment Water Reclamation Plant. My plant processed approximately 200 million gallons a day at plants scattered around LA County. My point is that I was an important guy who worked for a billion dollar a year budget company that housed over 600 engineers working for us as we not only treated all the wastewater for LA County but also all the trash for LA County went to our landfills. I worked my way up from an M&C Worker II to Superintendent of Upstream Water Reclamation Plants and am now comfortably retired still living in LA County. I could brag all day long about the things we had to do t keep those plants running 24/7 where I was on a pager for years then I remember buying the first LA Cellular cell phone. It was very big. Then they could get ahold of me anytime the operators had a problem they liked to call me because I would come in solve the problem and learn more about the facility. I have great reason to brag about my career, but I noticed the man is Christian and took the time to read a Bible verse in each video. Jesus is our Lord and Saviour and he is the way, the truth and the life. So, keep up the good work guys.

Basically saying, the Geico Bike is “art.” Here’s my problem with that comparison: The Mona Lisa’s function is to hang on a wall to look at it… imagine if the Mona Lisa was painted in a way it couldn’t be presented or shown. Then the Mona Lisa wouldn’t be “functional.” But no… the Mona Lisa is on a frame and hung correctly. Sure the Geico Bike could be considered an art piece, but, at the minimum, the main location the Geico Bike should be presented is on the road as a functional motorbike.

Indeed. I have owned two bikes from occ. got one cheap the other in a sailboat trade. They both had the same issues. Not rideable, no power, useless fuel tanks. Batteries always dead even though hardly anything using power. I don’t hate Paul for doing what he did for years. There was a demand he made money there is nothing wrong with that but he takes everything so personally. I am lucky enough to now own an Indian Larry bike. I will say when my dad ordered the bike in 2002 directly from Larry Larry builds bikes to be ridden and ridden hard. He was great. He called my dad daily and explained what was going on he told my dad certain things he would not do at all because it would ruin the bike. He had a slow quality build process and 22 years later I ride the bike often. Larry made practical things his own and Paul puts parts together to look good. You will never find Paul saying hey let’s not do this it will make the bike ride like crap. I also remember Larry being very humble and not taking more money from my dad. My dad offered more money sometimes to do something or because something ended up costing more than expected and Larry always said no it’s alright I’ll get it done. Larry also called my dad monthly after the bike was delivered to check on things. It was a totally different world than what occ delivered. And Larry even sent a binder with photos of the build process with the bike.

Best description ever lol "bikes for people who will never ride bikes"

That was basically his explanation for the Geico bike. He said it wasn't meant to run. That's craftsmanship right there!

You did very well in this response video and didn't get defensive. I think it's clear that you two aren't really that far apart and the videos of you two hanging out should be very cool.

I mean, that's kinda what OCC did and does lol the only difference is that OCC builds it from the frame to "finish" (because I doubt any bike they build is actually finished) and PMR customized an already existing vehicle.

Just to clear something up, Paul Sr built this bike for Gary Goodell, who was part owner of the Miss Geico Off Shore Racing Team, and not GEICO. Gary was often referred to as Gary 'Geico' Goodell because he was the one most often in the spotlight. So when senior calls hime Gary Geico, he is referring to Goodell. Not that it matters.

Paul Sr is “full of crap” (to use his words)! He pulled what could have made him millions more, through his arse. OCC was just going from strength to strength, but his ego killed it all!

Imagine what his world would have been like if he was a calm, level-haded, soft-spoken gentleman? He could have been the Chip Foose Of custom choppers! I'm sure the anabolic steroids didn't help that case.

Its not a scaleable business. Well the tv show was, but the bikes themselves not, not without being 3rd price and usable.

@@lassikinnunen OH it absolutely was. But Sr didn't have the brains to come up with an actual business plan for really selling bikes. It was Lets make the money now and worry later and 20 years later here we are. He could have done to HD sportsters What Buell did as just one example. I could go on and on.
