So, i know this is weird and out of context to this video, but I need to thank you for sharing your cancer story. My boyfriend found a lump in my left breast yesterday, and it’s a bank holiday here, so I won’t be able to see a doctor till Tuesday, and it seems like an eternity away. I know that so far it’s nothing until proven otherwise, and not comparable, but having seen your journey is calming to me. I’m still scared and crying when I think about it too much, but it’s a lot less dramatic in my head because you’ve been so open and shown that there’s so much to be thankful and happy about despite the situation you were in. So thank you to both of you for sharing the good and the bad. ❤️

I so love this video. Bec - you handled the rough seas with no nausea. You're a sailor already. I think you two would have a hugely successful sailing oriented youtube following. Literally top 10. And for the reasons that the other bloggers or commentators state. We're on your side. Now, quick note on the leaky tender. Like a flat on your car - you plug from the inside. With that in mind yes you can patch an obvious leak from the outside on a rubber boat but when you have so many small microscopic leaks you need to patch from the inside. How? There is a quart of stuff you buy to put in the holes where you inflate the rubber raft. Then you pump it up and put the leaky areas to the bottom - it tries to squeeze the liquid out and in the process plugs the holes. If you wipe the hull with dish soap it will show where the holes are when pumped up - and those places have to be at the bottom. So many turns and tosses - and you can eventually plug up all the small holes. Take a can with you when you're cruising. Something to do when you are idle for a few days. But ya - I can't wait to see you guys having the time of your life - and sharing it with us.

I’ve struggled with extreme motion sickness but recently I bought this electronic shocking bracelet and it’s a game changer. It vibrates and shocks you regularly on your wrist pressure point and it has changed everything! I like bec love the ocean but I used to vomit just from standing in moving water. I use this bracelet literally everywhere and I can finally go on boats feeling completely normal. It’s about the size of a Fitbit but it is only water resistant as it’s only downside. It’s also kinda pricey (about $300) but for me it was 100% worth the money

Catamaran's may be easier on your seasickness. My wife always got seasick but after living on a monohual for a few months, she rarely had any issues. Keep your eyes on the horizon and stay topside as much as possible. I lived aboard for 12yrs. I miss that experience. You not only get used to the movement while you sleep, to the point you that you'll miss it when it's not moving. Excellent Video as always. Thank you

I am 61 yrs old and raised with all food from our property, water from a well , all food made in a stone made stove, nothing fried...., so all about eating healthy..., but this vegan thing that Your generation is consuming, something is wrong here almost all my 2 daughters friends and friends of friends..., are having serious health issues and the most prevalent one is insomnia and severe depression...., My oldest daughter has both...., So eat healthy and careful what You Youngsters are lacking....

So cool to see Alex’s dog Tokyo on the boat! I LOVE boat travel, but really need my (Labrador) Service Dog with me. He’s a great international traveler, and, on boats that are designed with several decks and cabins for tons of people, my working dog uses a box of wood chips to “do his business”. We have spent shorter amounts of time - partial day trips - on boats the size of Alex’s (and smaller) but it’s SO cool that they have an option to essentially allow Tokyo to “Use the Head” on their boat, so she can come with you guys on longer trips on that size boat!! - I’d love to see if a dog like Oso would be willing to do that! Oso is bigger, and maybe he’d want be constantly jumping into the Ocean from the boat - so I can see why that might not work for you guys specifically. Still, this was great, my Working dog is bigger than Tokyo, but I would LOVE to try and see if we could do “Boat Life” by having him learn to “use the head” like her! I feel like this would make sailing/traveling with friends in a smaller craft an actual option, thank you guys!
