Landing a boat is not easy. I realize some are better at it than others. I have a 22 foot and all that goes thru my mind as I try to dock is how much it costs if I screw up and bang it on the dock. I have already had to pay for the gelcoat to get fixed once. I have nice big fenders to try and ease my mind. I come in super slow. Its nerve wracking and it takes the fun out of the whole trip. Help.

Promise yourself you won't get the gelcoat fixed again until Oct, and after the first incident you won't have to worry anymore. It gets a lot easier if you're only thinking about one thing.

Buy new boat find smaller local pond with no one around and practice giving everyone a specific task. Get it down like a fire drill. Now go practice keeping your vessel in line in a current. Combine the two then go embarrass yourself
