So many people complaining that the boat sank even with the FD there. Apparently, no one knows how fast fire can spread on a small boat. That boat was a lost cause before BCFD were probably even toned out for it, because it has a small footprint and lots of flammable materials and liquids aboard, plus its not steel hulled, its fiberglass. There is not much that could've been done to save it to begin with. BCFD did their job, they contained the incident and prevented it spreading to other boats. If something is a lost cause, there is zero point in risking lives to save it. Just contain, contain, contain. If you want evidence of what happens when you push your luck, look at the rowhouse fires BCFD lost personnel in over the last 3-4 years. After the last one they adopted the same mandate as Detroit Fire Department for abandoned structures: do a primary search to ensure no one is inside, then surround and drown. No point risking lives for something that is ultimately not gonna get proper and consistent use anyway.

And we have both Fire and Police boats with pumps and nozzles that will have that water or foam going out of that nozzle even before arrival…❗️I’m pro Fire Departments, but that was a complete ⭕️Jerk and unfortunately that’s not the first time I’ve seen videos of Baltimore City FD in non-action and it always appears to be lack of basic leadership and basic firefighting 🔥response principals…❗️
