Another classic boat and I think any 42 is the perfect size for a couple. Hardy 42 any fairline princes sea line etc. I met a RNLI coxswain at a Norfolk open day and he said at that time they all trained on a Hardy 42. Thanks as always for bringing us another comprehensive review.

What are the things to look for when buying a 25 year old Fairline Phantom 42. I guess there are some costs and issues to be considered.

The maim things to think about when buying any used boat is the engines and osmosis on the hull. Everything else is going to be way less expensive. A good idea is to have an engine oil test as part of the survey. That will show any wear in the engine.
