As a boater and occasional paddleboard fisherman, it is really amazing how ignorant people can be when fishing. It's really just common courtesy, especially if you have the luxury of a boat. That dude could have fished anywhere he wanted but chose to fish close to you guys on the jetty because he saw ya'll catching. What an absolute tool - you were completely in the right to call him out! Embarrassed for him. And the scuba guy?? Holy cow what a day you had testing your patience! Great videos as always.

I remember this one time I was Striper fishing in a tidal river. I was on this spot loaded with Schoolies and catching one after another. At one point I turned around and saw a shore fisherman had hiked what I knew to be at least .5 miles to the very spot I was fishing. I gave him a big wave, told him “this spot is loaded” and moved 100 yards away to another school. He thanked me profusely and said “most people wouldn’t have left” I told him I’d like to think others would! There is so much more real estate when you are on a boat, and if you have any experience at all on both sides, this is ALWAYS the right thing to do. You are 100% in the right here man. Keep doing your thing!

Happened to me the other day surf fishing from a freaking beach. I was casting but first boat went along the beach so close to the shoreline that it pissed everyone with bait fishing lines in the water right off. Then two morons came right up where I was casting in a small boat doing circles all over and setting up their gear, not even fishing yet. I mean come on...

I can honestly say I have been in all 3 of those situations! The Florida DNR was correct. The diver is required to have a flag. And although diving alone is not illegal, it isn't safe. I have Scuba dove that jetty at St. Andrews State Park, a hundred times and its always different conditions. I have been hooked by anglers, numerous times. But, I think they were being A$$ holes and casting towards our group. If I had to surface, I will usually tell anglers where the big fish are stacked up! While fishing, I have also accidently hooked a dive flag and bouy, as our lines just got crossed! I always give the divers the right of way, because they can't see where the anglers are on the jetty. And they pass by in a matter of minutes, not disrupting the fishing. The boaters can just be a$$holes too! While they can fish the entire coast line, they choose to anchor out in your limited location. Thats just being a prick! It looked like the conditions that day were perfect! For diving or fishing! 😊

The scuba diver was unsafe to himself more than anything, especially with the current being so strong right by the mouth of The Pass. Mostly I see them in the Kiddie Pool area of St. Andrews........BUT THE BOATERS?? "You have the whole other side of the jetties...." BRO YOU HAVE THE WHOLE OCEAN! 😂 If someone is fishing from the Jetties, they more than likely don't have the luxury of fishing virtually wherever they want. Not to mention they can go to the Shell Island side and have THE SAME FISHING, IF NOT BETTER. I will say, you showed incredible restraint and respect in both cases.

Florida was a great place to grow up in and Vero was a great fishing spot for half of my adult life but no matter where you go there is dog shit and eventually you will step in it. You are very entertaining and knowledgeable thanks for sharing and don't let the jerks ruin your day they don't know any better. As an afterthought I eventually fished the last two years in Vero without hooks I was just as thrilled to get a strike as I was before to land a fish and it drove folks crazy who did not know how to fish that they were not getting a strike and I was but I didn't care about hooking the fish.

Boaters were definitely at fault for the conflict. Usually, if the bite is on at certain spot people should ask for permission to fish nearby within reasonable distance. Even if several anglers are casting in the same direction as long as they are communicating and not being rude then everyone can have chance at hooking. Every fisherman has been on both ends of this where you might have the hot spot and on other occasions someone else does. Personally, If I am on a hot bite I don't mind people fishing near me as long as they are cordial and don't crowd me. Sometimes you need to give other anglers a chance as well because some of them that are just starting out and are still learning. That first hook up may mark the beginning of their passion for fishing just as we all have.

Common Courtesy if your there first whether on shore or in a boat you have the right to fish without interference from the other fisherman. In both cases the boat should have respected the other fisherman's area that he was fishing in and the diver should have at least been dragging a flag and also been aware of people fishing in the area he diving. So I agree with you on both accounts. By the way a dream day of the Best Eating Fish Pompano and Flounder !

I have had experiences with charter boats cutting across our trolling lines and breaking off our setups. They just ignore you when you yell at them. Well on the third day I got even with the a--hole even after I talked to the boss of the charter company. I rigged up my comercial fishing gear and dragged it across behind their boat. Well on the first try I got both cannon balls to break off their gear and three flashers and hookups. They yelled and threatened to call the police for breaking them off. I told them to go ahead but remember I have video of you doing the same thing. The next day they cut across me again and this time it totally backfired on them. They lost both cannon balls and about 100 ft. of cable from both downrigs and all of their hookups. Well to say, they went berserck as they had to go back in to the dock to rerig the gear. What they didn't know was I called their boss and he told me that they were going to be fired at the moment they tie the boat up. I told him that any gear that I recovered that I would return it to you. He said to keep it because it was coming off their paychecks and the trouble they caused you. He also told me that several other fishermen had the same problem with them.

I’ve dove in that exact spot , hopped in off a boat in the pass. However , I was not alone , I had a dive buoy in tow with flag showing I was down. And I definitely wasn’t in that close beside the hooks …… definitely not a smart idea doing it how he was !

Unfortunately people just don't have common courtesy anymore. Only think about themselves. You were definitely in the right.. They can go about anywhere in a boat they should've moved.

Boater was a Karen. I wonder how he acts to fisherman fishing on a pier? “Hey! All of you guys! Go fish on the other side of the pier so I can fish on this side from my boat!” What an arrogant fatherless child

@The Lawless Tide probably... don't mind any one having fun but guys are out here throwing gotcha plugs and all kinds of stuff. All it takes is one hook up. Although what's the creel and size limit on snorkelers

Great video, 👍you would. Have had a nice catch, if u were keeping fish, and far as the boater and the diver , as a fishermen all we ask for is our space , please don't envade my space, some people just don't care,, u will be wrong if u broke out the scissors or a Gotcha plug ,, anyway I don't know if u remember a comment that I had made on a video when u and Jack were fishing for the pomp tournament, to go farther east,, the Slabs were practically right in your back yard ,next tournament fish that surrounding area,,,STAY SAFE GOD BLESS,,,🐟🎣🐟🎣🔥,,

When boaters try to fish bank spots they need to be more respectful. Just like when they encounter kayaks. You have the other side of the jetties. They have the whole gulf

I hate to admit this but I snagged a guy with a 2 oz spoon and when he came up, he was pissed at me cause I hooked and set the hook on his gear, tore his vest and punctured his air line. I sort of knew they where there, plus everyone else on the jetty where getting pissed that a group where swimming up and down the jetty. The game warden was out walking around or someone called them to the jetty and took all him and his party's gear. No dive flags. Plus they where harvesting something. Walked them all back to the parking ramp. When i was done i went back they where all out of their gear and looking pissed. The guy I snagged gave ame a finger and I smiled. I didn't get to see what it was but I'm assuming they weren't suppose to but probably blamed me for the whole thing.

There are buttholes in every aspect of life. You met 2 of them in the same moment and you did better than most. You chose to be happy. Jerks like that are like a bad smell. They drift off with the wind in time.

Has a spearfisherman who Spearfish is around Jetties he should have gave you a 50 ft buffer and only gone past you once if necessary called out if he was coming around a second or should have gone out wider instead of right through the middle of your spot and he definitely needs to have a floating flag he was definitely in the wrong he should have called out or should have gone out wider and gave you a 50 ft to 100 ft buffer zones to prevent himself from getting hooked
