for background, I grew up at the parker strip below lake Havasu and my interpretations of jet skiers are in two groups the ones who own their jet skis and an experience and those who are here on the weekends never ridden a jetski before or their first time then there's stand up jet skiers who are just a different more advance breed. but yeah on a small not very wide river at some times it's absolutely terrifying when you see a jet skier jump the boat right in front of your wake cause if they fall they will be run over by your boat and yeah my opinion is when it's super busy put the jetski away.

Ayo, I frequent the Lake of the Ozarks. I motor around on jet ski's and boats alike. The main problem with jet-skiers is that they in general have little consideration for the 10,000lb boats on the water that can't stop or turn like a ski can. The lake is a dangerous place and the majority of jet-skiers are a young population that took a boater's license test and think they know everything. I'm 22 and I even recognize it as a problem, that being said, I've made my fair share of bad decisions on the water and I'm always sure to apologize for them and I generally wave at every boat that I pass. Young jet-skiers have a problem with entitlement on the water and have a growing issue of not simply looking over their shoulder before they make a sharp turn. As a boater it's often advised to slow down when approaching jet skis that are travelling in the same direction as you (especially if they're moving slower than you) because they have a bad habit of turning without looking. Personally I try and be as responsible and considerate as possible when out on the water.
