Great video thanks for sharing What puller did you use? Any chance you have the link?

I don’t remember the manufacturer. Just one I had laying around in my toolbox. I have several and I do remember it was unique to be able to pull the pulley away with not much spacing to grip.

HI, MY BOOK SAID CHANGE OUT THE IMPELLER 200 HRS OR EVERY OTHER YEAR. MY QUESTION HOW OFTEN TO CHANGE OUT THE. BEARING ?
@teammahaldotcom42642 жыл бұрын
I inspect the bearing when I remove my impeller. I remove my impeller. Yearly. Hope that help.

I check mine annually. I change the bearing if it feels rough or if the pump is leaking.

Most people turn them for feel and and most of us in the real world for pleasure boats run them until they drip. If you monitor your bilge and look for drips they will drip all summer before there is catastrophic failure. This assumes you are doing the impeller every season (or every other) and again feeling the bearing when the belt is off it.

My pump is leaking, is there a chance that it’s just the seal or is that most likely a bearing causing it?
