This will be our 4th year coming down there with our boat. Cayo is our favorite beach. Is there a certain spot along the coast that is better to anchor off or is all pretty much the same?

Hey, Cayo really is a deserted island paradise. Typically most boaters anchor towards the south end in the Gulf. The further away from the passes, the less the current will pull your boat around. We are usually about a mile or so north of Captiva Pass. There's a sand bar about 20 yards from the beach and we anchor just before that. Hope that helps! Cheers.

Just under an hour from fort Myers beach. Pretty easy ride. Think we are heading there Saturday.
