I gotta tell ya....I may not be Siskel OR Ebert but I'd give this series two thumbs up!👍👍 As a matter of fact, I don't know why Ontario Tourism didn't promote this for their own benefit! VERY impressive Paul! Thanks for sharing it with us!!

As always, you're most welcome. Would love to see some new videos of your boating adventures on your channel if you get a chance. I believe you got a 'new' Sundancer, so there's always lots of opportunity to inspire others (especially me) with some clips of that ship 👍👍👍

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo I am about to be laid up with back surgery and hope to learn how to do some editing. I would love to be able to share some videos online.

I'll look forward to that, but don't push anything. Get well with your back first. Gotta be in good shape for the upcoming season 👌

Hello Paul, I am Very Happy that your back to your Chanel. I always enjoy watching your adventure with anchor girl, Keep up the good work! May I ask whats the cost or gas for that ride in total?
@BoatingWithBoogaboo2 жыл бұрын
Happy to be back. As for fuel costs on this particular voyage, I can't say. This was captured in 2014, aboard our then 400 Sedan Bridge. Different boat, different fuel prices. . . That said, I will be giving a total rundown of our most recent voyage that took us to Trenton, the Rideau Canal and back home to Lake Simcoe, done in 2022. If you are following my *new* cruising videos that come out each Thursday, I'll be posting all those numbers,including distance travelled, fuel used/cost, etc. at the end of the series. I'll look forward to hearing from you then! Cheers, Paul.

Nice. Newbie here, picked up a 3255 bayliner last year, I'm at lefroy. So, 1st trip, go north or go south for a weekend?
@BoatingWithBoogaboo2 жыл бұрын
Both would be good options, but if you only have a weekend (Friday - Sunday), heading north your only options for overnighting would be Locks 42 or 43 and if it's busy, you might be hard pressed to get a spot to tie up for the night unless you're there early on Friday - before 3:00 at least. If heading east, you have more options to tie up for the night, as there's a number of locks in rapid succession - but again, no guarantee of getting a spot. It's gonna be a coin toss either way, but both would be an adventure!
@farleyschapira53512 жыл бұрын
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Hmm, no power at either 42 or 43. Oh well, we'll figure it out. Thanks.
@BoatingWithBoogaboo2 жыл бұрын
The only locks that have power are Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, Buckhorn, Lakefield and Frankford. Problem with them is that, because they offer shorepower, they are generally quite busy, with no guarantee one would be able to take advantage of it. . .

Your Lock assistant needs a life jacket.. Bad example!
