I just test drove this boat yesterday and yes, the rug is removable completely. This thing has more power than any jet boat I've been on. I've been told it takes 7 hours to break in the engine to get maximum power, but if what I tested at zero hours is any indication of the power this thing produces, then you better hold on because this thing goes!

How does this compare to the wake edition?

We have a 2019 Scarab 215 WAKE Edition (kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5DbfKh3jpJ4Z9k) and love it!!! The WAKE Edition usually comes with some of the extra add-ons/upgrades or options versus the regular ID (or what previously was the HO Impulse).
