One of many treasures from these guys and this Guy...I'm afraid that his story here is slowly coming to its end, but Guy made sure he never leaves this place. He stays as long as his songs and performances live on.

What a perfect example of both music, and brotherhood...Verlon at his side even at the last breath...

I saw them from the second row at the Barter Theater in Abingdon, VA. Guy Clark is my favorite living songwriter, and he and Verlon together are masterful.

It is so cool to see that people are still discovering Guy's music. He is a craftsman who's influence has helped shape American music. Emmylunatic is right - he's the real deal.

Love Verlon as Guy. Keep it going Verlon ... you must as long as you can.

it's kind of a musical marriage, Guy and Verlon. somehow I get the feeling that Guy grew up to be a bigger songwriter and musician by playing, composing and sticking around with Verlon. this is total music, there is nothing to be said, added or substracted, it's music at its best. long live & play you guys and may God bless you for all you share

I'm gonna build me a boat with these two hands it'll be a fair curve from a noble plan.....my wife always says "why does listening to Guy or Townes make you cry so often" I tell her, "if you have to ask you'll never understand"

Great how we can weave songs and performers together. It benefits all by sharing the greatness, no matter how we get there.

Every time I hear this song I think of my Dad. He loves making things by hand. This is his ethic. "I've got Boats to Build." Except he would probably prefer to build an airplane.
@PatrickRobinsonOCVapes14 жыл бұрын
Actually, Guy didn't write this really, it's credited to Verlon Thompson and Susanna Clark....I know a story about guy not getting the vibe he was looking for so Verlon and Susanna took over
