Chapstick works for keeping guides from freezing. It prevents water from accumlating in the guides, and if it does build up a little, its easier to remove. Or Ive also heard that cooking spray works as well, but i havent tried that yet.

I need my monthly Boatside video. I don’t care how, but make it happen. I will even watch ice fishing videos. Nowadays, I only fly fish for trout in the Spanish Pyrenees. Cold hands and freezing lines and reels are a problem here too. In the past I used Peacock hand warmers (lighter fluid filled burners, the size of a small phone). I switched to small electric hand warmers that I can keep inside my gloves. Another quality video.

For catching fish, wintering spinning very well, soak the cord with Johnson Baby oil. In the evening before fishing, pour the cord well right on the rogue, and preferably twice. And sometimes wipe the spinning rings with a cotton pad with the same oil right on fishing.

I know the dead finger struggle well. Put a pair of nitride gloves on underneath those wool gloves. Its like a little dry suit for your hands they do get clammy after a while, but I'd rather have clammy hands and Frozen hands

Hi man! We use Westin braid around 0,30 mm for this combo👌🏻 That is about as good of a Christmas present there is! We use Mustad Jawlok 3/0 for those baits, they have a pretty wide profile so you need quite big hooks. Tight lines and Merry Christmas from us🎅🏼

when it's freezing we use Johnsons Baby oil both on rings and braid and it works very well...
