A very pretty boat that looks right at home on the water. Thanks Capt Steve 👍

I agree captain any boat in my opinion should be tested with a minimum 2 to 3 foot chop, and any boat failing this would be a fail in my opinion. The Belize 66 in this video is well performing and a beauty.

knowing riviera, this heavy yacht will act like 2-3 footers is flat seas and eat it up like its nothing

Steve you drove the boat that I purchased. I'm not trying to say you drove the model and such like you LITERALLY drove the boat that I own. You drove it before I got it!

Very pretty boat ! Why are the engine controls on the left ? And on the inside helm the joystick is on the left armrest ? Power washer is very nice. Very nice engine room. Thrill Ride it is !! I reviewed the features review and WOW !!! Miele all throughout ! Beautiful and attention to detail. This yacht actually reaches the beauty and quality level of a RIVA !

A RIVA??? I don't know about that. I've seen almost every RIVA in their stable and they're all mega-gorgeous.

So there we have it.... this confirms just as Nick from Aquaholic adores Princess, Captain Steve adores Riviera.

I think the armrest should be longer... that joystick seems not at a comfortable location

How hard/long would it be for an owner/operator with minimum experience to get a hang of piloting/running this boat on his/her own?
@dieseldog00 Жыл бұрын
I would like one of the Riviera people to take me out for at least 3-4 hours to show me the ropes especially offshore. I've never driven a boat this big.

With a type-experienced mariner onboard with you, three 2-3-hour sessions on 3 separate days within a week or two, with the first session in the morning, the second session in the afternoon, and the final session in the late afternoon,. With all thee sessions you're at the helm leaving the slip, driving through and clear of the marina and channel, then retutning to port and redocking the vessel.

@@VoxOptimatium ah thank you, kind stranger! I am now that much closer to my dream then. To be honest I thought it would be harder than this. My biggest concern would be properly reading the navigational instruments, however it seems that the current generation of Garmins and such are not that obtuse?

@@adastra79 You're welcome, and, yes, current technology is a marvel; nonetheless, an essential element in becoming a capable mariner is formal instruction in navigation, seamanship, and boating safety. To get a feel for all there is to learn, visit the website for Newport Coast Maritime Academy.

This is an awesome boat.. how would this yacht compare with the Sabre 66 flybridge? Thanks
@BoatTEST3 жыл бұрын
Sabre makes nice boats but I just lean more towards Riviera in general because they have such exceptional handling qualities and excel in fit and finish. I’ve also seen many examples of them going way above and beyond with regards to customer service. For example, recently one owner told me he was having his teak redone. This required using a chemical to clean and bleach the teak. This chemical was not being flushed off the teak with enough running water and created streaks down the side in one small section. So they repainted his whole boat. That’s the Riviera mindset. - Capt. Steve

Hi Captain Steve, why would you like to see a bow thruster when the boat has ips drives?Will the ips fail to keep the bow inline when windy? Thank you.
@BoatTEST4 жыл бұрын
Maxwell Cohen Because sometimes you just want to move the bow one way or the other without rotating the whole boat.
