Thanks Capt. Steve for taking us aboard a yacht that most of us would only be able to see in a magazine. 🙂

Love how different design choices are made by the builders in this segment. Marlow, Fleming, and Outer Reef have offerings in this size range but are laid out differently.

Really nice woodwork on this vessel. A bit dark IMO and 71db is not whisper quiet. Great to know GB can customize to that much extent. Thanks to the owners and Capt. Steve for showing off the boat!

Nice yacht, looking forward to the performance video. I do like the enclosed upper helm. Open flybridges are nice in warm weather areas, but I always think having 2 helms is just a waste of space. You get a lot more kitchen, dining and living space with just one upper helm. But everyone has their own taste and preferences. My taste tends to run to full displacement hulls, but this Grand Banks is very nice.

I just picture myself in miserable weather on my own upstairs while everyone else is yukking it up downstairs.

My father is a retired carpenter, and as his only son, I naturally had a love of good carpentry skills. If you've ever seen a carpentry competition. Like the European craftsmanship competition competitors work here in Ireland, it's really beautiful artwork of furniture here, and I presume throughout the other competitors countries. Not just carpentry, but welders, and other types of trades. The winners been presumably set for life with job opportunities being able to say that they one a competition for being the best at their trade here in Europe. I presume that similar competitions happen over in the USA and other parts of the world, for the best of the best craft masters in different crafts. I've seen the Irish welding competition for a spot at the European competition too. The work is amazing. I don't think my father ever tried to enter the carpentry, but it's still amazing to see what can be done by those that do. And also carpentry in general is fun and very rewarding to see a job well done.

5:44 Wow. Just look at it. It really does look like a royal level of cabin accommodation. Anyone that's seen what the word "royal" really means here in Europe, will know what I mean. Absolutely fantastic.

Such a gorgeous and well thought out yacht, but at 1:02 the step up to the relatively narrow doorway, and a few seconds later the awkwardness of entering is quite obviously displayed imv; standing below the step, opening door, stepping up. I would gladly give up 1/2 of those storage cabinets for a generous salon door, and hope to see a 'step-up' feature work-around, or a lengthening of that step with sliding door verses 'hinged' . :shrugs:

This piano set up, reminds me of the excellent streamer HaCubby. She is a wonderful Christian lady from South Korea, that I think won one of the streamer awards this year. Amazing lady. Plays the piano very well. While travelling through Europe last year, she was asked to play on the spot at a live street mini concert and she played very well, with absolutely no knowledge that she was going to be playing. Amazing. She would love this master cabin.

3:01 I love the concept of a pull out pantry for spaces like that. They just seem very practical for everyday use. I wonder if it's easy to remove for cleaning the floor of where isn't slots in though?

About the only thing I would swap out would be the teak for Flexiteek, teak just needs too much maintenance and stains too easily. But that's just me, and I'd rather have the crew waxing and polishing everything in the engine room.

Fantastic yacht. Thought I am surprised that in the salon, there are no curtains/blinds for the windows. Also, I see that there are no fixtures on the windows with which to attach curtains/blinds. What do the owners do for privacy? Also, there are no safety gates on the boarding steps. It's just open. Isn't that dangerous?

Since the customer wanted the master bath to the port side and Grand Banks had to move the bulk head to accommodate that. How did GB make up for the strength & integrity of the yacht’s design to make such a huge change?

Side rails 27 inches? If you are walking beside the rails and are tossed against them by a wave then the rails are going to catch you mid thigh and help you on your way into the sea.

It's got some nice features, but style-wise I think there's a step down from the 54 and 60 - not a fan of the permanently enclosed fly-bridge. That's just me though.
