This song, or I really should say, "This performance", has hit me like a freight train. It's happened to me a handful of times in my 64 years. I'm embarrassed to say that before a few days ago, I'd never even heard of Bob, and now I can't stop watching him. I got back into singing myself these past few months, as a distraction for my head after recent personal events, and I'm in the middle of trying to learn this song, in a similar style to this. Absolutely amazing performance.

Bob you are a phenomenon! As yourself you are an amazing singer and would have made it on that talent alone. But considering you are able to sing just like many of our most celebrated singers makes you a super star! Very hard to comprehend how you are able to do that! Have become a fan! You have a great story!

Bob Anderson • 0 seconds ago Hey Rick...Thank you do much for the kind words. I have been performing around the world for quite sometime. It seems the people in the foreign countries still have a greater taste of the music that was recorded in the 1950's and up. Thank you for recognizing myself as a singer, singing with all that music as myself. I enjoy doing impressions of certain artists and not someone just because he has a hit record. I have to really love the person and his music. In my opinion, the people that I am impersonating, are the greatest Jazz, Pot singers in the business. Again...thank you so much for writing your opinion on the paper. I hope I get to see you sometime.

Bob, appreciate your response! I would totally enjoy seeing your show in person! We live in Temecula wine country. We have a great venue here for you called The Pachanga Resort and Casino. It's rated as one of the top casinos in the country. Lots of major entertainers perform there. Be perfect for your show. I know you have Jack Jones in your shows, one of the greats! Love to see you do one of my favorites " Lollipops and Roses" or another "Wives and Lovers". Major hits for him. How you are able to master so many voices is beyond my comprehension! There are others that can do a few and well, but no one has your enventory of stars! Check out Pachanga could be a winner for you. Be well !

Great singing. It sounds as if it was done in the style that Tom Jones used to cover this song.

Bob is so amazing with all his talent and impersonations. Such an amazing story how his trip to Las Vegas changed his whole life forever in a few minutes on stage with Nancy Sinatra. I can watch this over and over and never get tired of it!

Fantastic talent, even putting your timelss impressions aside if thats even possible, your own voice as in this song has to be one of the best, your vocals are impecable and rage is just somthing different. I first saw this video of your performance a few years ago and I always have to watch/listen, timless undeniable talant. I'd love to hear you do more songs as yourself, if at all possible please do.

Oh, I love this. I love your voice Bob. ❤ I always liked the singers from the Sinatra-era. I started to sing about 7 years ago. I pretty much didn't sing anyrhing prior to that. I'm 48 now. I've never sung with a real live orchestra, so that's one of my dreams to do that someday. Starting so late, I have no hopes what so ever reaching your amazing level. But If I can manage to get 5% of your level before I leave this earth, I would die a happy guy 🤗❤

Must have listened to this 50 times or more recently lol. Never get tired of it either, I've managed to learn it myself, and I might upload it soon, not sure yet. I'm almost 65 and suffer with emphysema, so can't really give it as much as I'd like to have done. Its just one of those songs that I just had to try, and at least I've been able to give it a go. So thank you Bob 👍😉

@@BobAndersonMusic You're more than welcome Bob. You did such a good job of it, that you inspired me to give it a go, even though I knew I couldn't get anywhere near close to what you did. I think I've managed to do it as well as I'm ever going to get it, and I may upload it soon to a page on facebook called Rock The Lockdown, its a public page that people can use to upload there songs. You don't have to join the page, its public, so if you get a minute sometime, I'd be very proud, and very honoured if I knew you'd had a listen, but please Bob, if you do, then please be honest on what you think. I was blown away when I saw your reply come through tonight, we were in a local theatre here in the UK, watching a tribute to Frankie Valli, I couldn't wait to get home and reply to you lol. I'm not a pro singer Bob, I'm just a bloke who's always loved to sing, and I'm my own biggest critic lol. I'm also a bloke who says it as he sees it, and when I came across you on here about a month ago, I honestly could not believe what I was watching, and I'm not exaggerating either. I've always loved impressionists, and I've always loved to see Sammy Davis Jnr doing them, I've always said that there's nobody living that comes close to him, I've now changed my opinion, you are truly amazing Bob. The idea of having the chance to one day have a drink with you my friend, will always remain just a pipe dream for me, but yeah, if I ever thought I was going to be anywhere near you one day, wherever it may be, you have absolutely no idea how much that would mean to me. So my friend, I want to sincerely thank you, from the heart, for your reply tonight, it does actually mean the world to me. If you do manage to see my video, please let me know what you think. I've diluted it slightly, but I wanted to do it in a similar style to you, although I couldn't end it like you do, because the track doesn't allow it. I probably wouldn't manage it anyway lol. Take care Bob, and keep doing what you do best 😉👍

Hey my dear friend.... I can't believe all the great comments you put into your cool words. I can see that you are a singer as well. Great... Keep on ...singing and to get it right, can be a rather tough deal, but I think you can do it. Keep in touch and let me know if you are dropping a couple songs for us to hear. God Bless you my friend ....and say your prayers.... that's way more important than anything else in our world and way more than singing.! However, singing is pretty close to second.! LOL

I don't understand how a talent like Bob isn't as famous as Kenny Rogers, Engelbert Hemperdinck or Tom Jones. All these are just shortcomings of the producers. As for me, he is on a par with these great singers.

Wow - I’m not sure if Bob is impersonating any singer in particular here but he captures the best of them all, Sinatra Dean Sammy Tom Jones Bennett and more in one performance. I think Anderson is not an impressionist he’s the real deal it just happens that he chose to make a career out of impersonating great singers.

@@xtiancolquhoun7410 Thanks yes I found the live Tom Jones version, it's the same musical arrangement which proves you right, but I think his performance here is more sophisticated than Tom Jones's. And now I read the caption to this video, Bob Anderson 'sings as himself', so maybe it is all of his influneces coming through after all.

@@omarkamalmusic yeah, doesn't sound exactly like Tom, he definitely took a lot of inspiration from Tom's version but it is just Bob Anderson being himself, but as soon as I heard I knew he had watched Tom sing it. I love Tom's version probably better than Kennys version but I was so stoked to hear another rendition from the great Bob Anderson

Man..you are so cool. All of those people became friends of mine. It all started off from Nancy Sinatra. Nancy is a wonderful lady. She got me going in the music and I simply stayed in the game. It was Merv Griffin that turned me in to an impressionist. Sometimes I don't know if I should have punched him for that or thanked him a million times. He was a great friend and a very brilliant man. I'll see you in Las Vegas, God bless you, my friend.

I've been singing for myself for the last 40+ years, and sometimes on karaoke shows if it wasn't too crowded. Never before heard about Bob (such a shame), because if I did, I would have had a courage to finally record my first song a very long time ago. That's the voice!!! I've listened this one now for days and I must say that this is my favourite performance ever. Bob, if you read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart because you helped me to pull the trigger, and this song will soon be recorded and performed with a tribute to you! Please stay healthy and strong, so once when I arrive to Vegas (I live in Europe), I hope we will sing together. ❤
