I recall vividly when the Cowsills songs hit the airwaves. It was just part of the exciting soundtrack for our daily lives growing up in the 60s. What an amazingly talented family. Hair is a masterpiece....and I love the video they did.

Such a great interview and he nails it about the Beatles. But the Cowsills can still rock and sound fantastic. Love that Bob Paul and Susan are still doing it. Would love to meet and chat with them someday. They are truly inspirational!!

He really is! I wish more young people could be exposed to the Cowsills- we need more joy in pop music;)

This whats so telling on the freaking amazing musical talent of the Cowsills and Beatles. When Bob talks about The Cowsills and Beatles not being able to read or write music. Let me tell you as someone whos been taught to read, transpose and play music for 30 years, and STILL sees how amazing all of them are. Man, unless youre a musical theory genius, Im BEYOND impressed

I've wondered sometimes if we "educated" musicians are at all disabled in our musical ability and creativity because of the rules and "knowledge" we've worked so hard to attain!

No doubt about it 🎸🎸🎸

Sometimes creativity can trump knowledge... I've seen and played with many schooled musicians who couldn't play a thing without their music sheets. Having both would be the best of both worlds (IMHO)

@@JamZorro Lots of Session Musicians fall into that category they played what was there but enhanced it and a few added original material.

sad that the Cowsill's are so underrated but look it's 2023 and they not the Beetles and many other group aren't around. Bob , Susan and Paul are and John with the Beach Boys still . to me the Cowsill's are the family band down the street where they are just everyday people not like most in music, movies- tv or the clowns tossing around the balls thinking they are superstars
