Bob has re-invented himself as "crooner" because of his age (Mid_70s1) so have mercy. But what a maestro in every field: arrangements, choice of band, theatrical steps & "dance" moves, back to his better voice again (not shouting in a phrasing +timing that is not appreciated by everyone in my humble opinion). What a genius! May god afford him good health so we can all benefit from his gifts. Overwhelmed by this guy's craft....and vey BIG thanks to Tokyo & Keith Gubitz for sharing.

A National treasure! Only person to receive Nobel, Oscar, Grammy, (and I think Emmy) he’s reinvented himself many times, and not for anyone but himself. I admire his ability to do what he wants and his honesty. He’s been with me since the 60’s and he is a true genius, a wordsmith no one can match. At this writing he is 80 years old and just sold his music catalogue for $22m dollars. Even Joan Baez could not make him into her “boy”. A pure soul. His own man. I’m so thankful he sang during my time.

PS I meant he sold his music catalogue for $400m ish. He was also in a car accident and that affected his voice. But in my opinion, he’s the best writer of our times and his music keeps evolving.

Impossible to categorize this American genius. Accomplished in so many fields. So much superb poetry, so many brilliant musical conceptions. He was the voice of the 60's, perhaps the greatest upheaval and change since the Civil War.

Since I was a child I have observed Bob Dylan work incredibly hard to be as skilled as he is and to reach deep within himself and share openly with those of us who seek our own form of spiritual enlightenment. Bob, if you read this, please know you have helped me weave the sturdy fabric of my own journey through your poetry, lyrics and a tempo that opens my heart and mind to think beyond the confines of my mortality. Perhaps one fine day we shall meet if we both are watchful to not rhyme out of time...

I LOVE him doing soft Ballads like 'Why try to Change Me Now'..this genre of music is very soothing & sentimental.. & certainly easier on t vocal chords. Is PERFECT. LUV t Intimate feeling of this show. ( Bob said he "Always wanted to be an old Blues singer" definitely got that too!

Bob, being born in '41 am sure grew up exposed t a lot of 'Crooner Ballads'..Not only songs by Gershwin but Also songs by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Pat Bone, Vic Damone, Nat King Cole..BD is also a highly educated Musicologist evidenced by his Theme Time Radio Shows. Am sure its probably lovely for him to ressurect these old standards & present them to generations who have never heard their beautiful strains. Bravo Bob...Hope you Enjoy singing them reminiscing of ur childhood days & foundational musical influences. Beautiful Full circle.
