Clean Cut Kid was on my 90-minute Best Of Bob in the 80s cassette that dominated the airwaves of my old Hyundai in highschool. I didn't even like the song, I just liked how weird it was and how hilarious the Burger Kings line was.

you were a bit of an idiot then. Still young though. There were some gteat lines. 'They said what isn't is- Short, sweat and good.

Great comparison to Bruce in your analysis here. I guess if only for sequencing reasons, this track serves a purpose on "EB" by breaking up the treacly "I'll Remember You" and "Never Gonna Be the Same Again," but it has always been a tough hang for me. I think I even prefer Bob in sugary, David Foster mode on those ballads over this one. "Burger Kings" is iconic though.

If you don't get this song well then . "You are a Clean Cut Kid" if you made it.
