I heard this song for the very first time at a recent Ryan Adams concert in the UK. Was blown away and knew instantly that it was a masterpiece. Ryan’s live rendition can be found on KZbin - recorded at Bristol May 2023. I can’t imagine anyone covering this song better than Ryan did that evening. Imo, the song is even better without the ‘la la’s ‘ but I realise that’s like telling Van Gogh he put one too many sunflowers in that vase. Regardless, this song is a work of GENIUS 🌟
