@@alldayvinyl I saw him in Sheffield on the Love & Theft tour. Wonderful that he is still going strong. Latest album is lovely.

Amazing album - my favourite Dylan album and so criminally overlooked. Incredible to hear how it came together. Terrible stuff!

Lovely hear from Mark. I know he was very ill a few years back with cancer. Sounding great. Liked his work with Deadman too 🙏🏽

Real Gone & TOOM are honestly two of the most incredible sounding records of all time. Thank you both for this wonderful interview. (For fans of TOOM, be sure to check out Tom Verlaine's cover of Cold Irons Bound)

I gotta revisit real gone but time out of mind I’ve ranked among my top Dylan since I first heard it. A masterpiece imo

Fuckin awesome mark, to think it came down to the very tapes I had also been recording my rehearsals with from 95'- 98' time period ,Udxl2's Maxell. Burned it hot,6-8 and saturated that tape for all it was worth, and was it. Natural compression was evident and the real cause hear, no clipping like digital. Just really cool to know this, hear this, what a conformation to what I was doing at that moment, from bricks to the pavement, from the broken news to the unattended, it was all hot then and off the press,to simmer out the kiln, bake in the smoker a day or two, then real awaited review. Brewer brewed served us well in those early days, as I can tell ,it served you too working all those stairs to get it right for the man, and he liked the udxl2's, just amazing amazing. Cheers man, and would love to do something sometime with you at the helm. Johnny G.

The 2022 mix of TOOM sounds way better. More direct. I never realised Mark was responsible for the phasey, echoey sound, always thought it was Lanois and that it was kinda sloppy sounding..
