This is probably my favorite Dylan song from time to time. I think he left it off the album because it was just too personal. Our man Bob wrote that whole album in open d, most of the songs sound like this. Still a heart tearing look at love.

Bob Dylan's " Blood on The Tracks " sessions were perhaps the second greatest burst of creative expression of any American artist of any time. The FIRST greatest burst of creative expression of any American artist was the two year period from 1964 through 66 when Bob Dylan released four of the greatest albums of all time.

Everything went from bad to worse, money never changed a thing Death kept followin', trackin' us down, at least I heard your bluebird sing Now somebody's got to show their hand, time is an enemy I know you're long gone I guess it must be up to me If I'd thought about it I never would've done it, I guess I would've let it slide If I'd pay attention to what others were thinkin', the heart inside me would've died Well, I was just too stubborn to ever be governed by enforced insanity Someone had to reach for the risin' star I guess it was up to me Oh, the Union Central is pullin' out, the orchids are in bloom I've only got me one good shirt left and it smells of stale perfume In 14 months I've only smiled once and I didn't do it consciously Somebody's got to find your trail I guess it must be up to me It was like a revelation when you betrayed me with your touch I'd just about convinced myself, nothin' had changed that much The old Rounder in the iron mask, he slipped me the master key Somebody had to unlock your heart He said it was up to me Now, I watched you slowly disappear down into the officer's club I would've followed you in the door but I didn't have a ticket stub So I waited all night 'til the break of day, hopin' one of us could get free Ho, when the dawn came over the river bridge I knew it was up to me The only decent thing I did when I worked as a postal clerk Was to haul your picture down off the wall near the cage where I used to work Was I a fool or not to protect your real identity? You looked a little burned out, my friend I thought it might be up to me I met somebody face to face, I had to remove my hat She's everything I need and love but I can't be swayed by that It frightens me, the awful truth of how sweet life can be But she ain't gonna make a move I guess it must be up to me Now, we heard the Sermon on the Mount and I knew it was too complex It didn't amount to anything more than what the broken glass reflects When you bite off more than you can chew, you got to pay the penalty Somebody's got to tell the tale I guess it must be up to me Dupree came in pimpin' tonight to the Thunderbird Cafe Crystal wanted to talk to him, I had to look the other way Now, I just can't rest without you, love, I need your company But you ain't a-gonna cross the line I guess it must be up to me There's a note left in the bottle, you can give it to Estelle She's the one you been wonderin' about, but there's really nothin' much to tell We both heard voices for a while, now the rest is history Somebody's got to cry some tears I guess it must be up to me So go on, boys, and play your hands, life is a pantomime The ringleaders from the county seat say you don't have all that much time And the girl with me behind the shades, she ain't my property One of us has got to hit the road I guess it must be up to me If we never meet again, baby, remember me How my lone guitar played sweet for you that old-time melody And the harmonica around my neck, I blew it for you, free No one else could play that tune You know it was up to me

Bob Dylan: The Works Of The Holy Spirit: " In The Beginning Was The Word, and The Word Was With God, and The Word Was God." He Spoke The Universe Into Existence With The Sound Of His Voice. ...And Faith without works is dead. How do you tell a dying world about The Life Giving Master without having the world coming after you because you're a Christian? Who could take that risk and figure out how to do that amongst those who might have a platform to do so? None of them want to due to fear, and who amongst them can be trusted? Just like Jakob Dylan said in one of his songs, "There must be someone amongst us that we can trust." Who has the insight, perseverance, experience, spiritual gift, education, love in his heart, and soul, notiriity, and knows just the right words to use to figure that one out? You do Bob Dylan, and you know that it's what the world needs right now. Can you honestly say you weren't born in these last days generations for no reason? The Lord did choose you. Everything bad might come to those of Jewish Heritage first, but so does everything good come to those of Jewish Heritage first. I think you should figure out some words and music to open the ears, eyes, and minds of the world to salvation some how without them taking it the wrong way. You're probably the only man still around who can do it. Maybe you can start by recording the song called : The Blessing.....and May God Bless You! Victoria

She said she could see that I was broken hearted and told me she wanted to pray for me. I said okay well go ahead. She laid hands on me, and I busted out crying. Then she asked if I felt heat. I told her yes, from my feet up to my head. She told me it was The Holy Spirit. As I recall, I was 29 years old. She asked me some questions about the people who used to be in my life, but actually she told me stuff about two of them. She happened to be actually right. After that I thought to myself if she might be a witch or something, but I figured out that she wasn't, and had really been for real about The Holy Spirit because a few days later, I could actually Discern that The Holy Spirit was showing me and telling me things. The first thing He told me is that He's been preparing me for the time that is to come. I had often heard my grandmother talk about the end of days, but didn't think that it'd be taking place in the time that we were living in. A lot of other strange things happened to me that were messages too, like I told you that I actually met Mr. T on a flight from Mo to Callie. Never thought that much about it until he was in Office. One time I was working at The College Admissions Dept. at The Community College I attended. This was in the early 1980's. They had a preschool there that my 2 kids attended while I was in my classes. I was working part time at admissions, and sitting at an outdoor table checking applications of everyone in line before they go in, because there was a line around the building. Some kid behind me told me that the man two people behind him was trying to stick a fly on my back. I went to that man and asked him what he thought he was doing. He had a tiny fly in a glass jar. I asked what's this about. He said he was Iranian and did I know about The Muslim Faith. I told him no, not much, and that I only took one World Religions Class so far and knew just a little about it. Then he asked if I'm a Christian. I said yes. So then he said this tiny little fly from the middle East is how we are going to take all the Christians out. I said what? Again, I thought that guy was just a crazy person. So I go back to my seat; He gets up to the line, and now he has a friend with him. He asked me what I thought about his friend. I said, well, he's somewhat good looking. So then the Iranian guy said his friends name was Barrack. I said okay, well, how do you do, and shook his hand. I told him his pink shirt was nice. The Iranian guy said, yah, he likes men. Then the Barrack guy said don't believe him, I don't really. I'm just telling you the conversation, but that's not what it was all about. The Iranian guy said that his friend thinks he's going to be President and said yah, he studied political science at another University and is just visiting me. So I asked the Iranian guy what his major was. He said Math and Science. I just told him that math might be my downfall because I'm not good at it. It was hot out that day, and I had a shirt on that showed my shoulders. He said that I shouldn't show my shoulders. Show I said that I had to help the other people in line and he'd have to move along before my boss comes out and I get in trouble for holding up the line. He said okay, then he slapped me on the back of my shoulder. Something felt like it was a pin and hurt. The kid behind me said hey that guy just put that fly on you and your bleeding. So my coworker sitting in the chair next to me handed me a Kleenex out of her purse. I did bleed a little. A few months went by and there was a black spot on the back of my shoulder. I knew that I never had a mole there, so I picked it off, and out of my skin came that little bitty fly hooked with a tiny string to a tiny stick, just like that Iranian guy had it in his glass jar. Somehow he had thought to kill me and maybe because I was Christian. I don't know, but after Mr. O got I'm office, I told a girlfriend of mine that The guy who's President looks just like some guy I met when I was working at the college one day years ago. She said really? I told her I can almost swear it was him. I kid you not! I've only told these things to my best girlfriend, my 2 kids, my current husband, a few other people, and you Bob Dylan. Love VC
